Kellan's new 'game' is playing America's Funniest Home Videos. This entails him running around the house trying to hurt himself, then asking me if that would have been a funny video...
I love Christmas music and love even more that it's an appropriate time to listen to it now. Say, rather than in July as I usually do. When the song "Santa Baby" comes on, Kellan cracks up. He finds this song incredibly ridiculous.
Kellan said his favorite things are checkers and Buffalo Wild Wings. I've never seen him play checkers in my life...
Kellan was looking at his piggy bank. He asked me if he could use the money in there to play pool at Catch 22. (Our local sport's restaurant). Sigh...
I told the boys I had a sore throat. Camden told me to try to go poop and see if that makes me feel better. Then he indicated I should try this poop thing in my own bathroom, not theirs...
I was getting the Christmas decorations out and doing a few things around the house. I could hear Camden singing Jingle Bells. I came out, and he had decorated the whole tree by himself signing Jingle Bells the whole time...
Camden just reminded me that Jesus' dad's name is Joey...
Kellan was playing with my hair at Mass. And making a huge deal that his hand kept getting caught up in my tangles. I think the people behind us are going to buy me conditioner for Christmas...
I was in the shower and Kellan came running in full blast to announce that he had spilled. I sighed and asked how big the spill was. He cheerfully replied, "it doesn't matter, 'cause you can use a towel - and towel's are the best!"
I noticed that when Camden has been writing his name on his homework he's been writing Camden.Tilley. I kept asking him why he was putting a dot between his first and last name instead of a space. He said, but that's how Mrs. Weckerly writes her name. Ha!
Camden was being a mischievous monkey, and burped in Kellan's cereal. Since Kellan didn't see this act, Camden made sure to tell him what he had done. Kellan laughed and laughed, then looked at Camden and said, "but you're really tricking, right?".
This is amazing. Camden is so into football lately and I couldn't be happier. He is a Vikings fan, but we'll let that slide. We were watching the Vikings/ Cardinals game. I was cleaning up the kitchen, and looked up right as the Cardinals had scored. I said, "sorry, Camden! But there's still a lot of time left in the game". Camden was adamantly telling me that the player's knee was down. I figured, since he's still learning the rules, he saw the player fall down in the end zone. But sure enough, they reviewed the play and said the runner's knee was down and called back the touchdown. I was stunned and extremely proud!
