Thursday December 22nd, 2022

I love Christmas so much! I can't wait to see if Santa comes!

Grizzly is our little delicate flower born via C Section. Here is the song the boys and our carpool kid, Kellan Eiden, came up with for him;

I'm a little little little delicate flower
Going towards the sun at a million miles an hour
I drive gooder than all the parents
And I eat food for breakfast

I have the best life in the world!

Camden got accepted into the National Junior Honor Society today! I am beyond proud, and so grateful for the wonderful and supportive school they attend!

Wednesday October 12th, 2022

Camden is 13. THIRTEEN! How on earth did that happen? I am so Blessed to have such a kind caring sweet little guy.

I should know better. I got so excited to pick Camden up from school on his birthday, because it's usually not on a school day. I bought a huge balloon and had it hanging out of the car window at pick up. Camden spotted it and went white. He kept motioning for me to put the balloon back in the car. Poor guy - doesn't enjoy the birthday attention like I do.

Apple and Grizzly went to the vet today. Grizzly's about 8lbs and chonky Apple is 10. I told her the vet was going to put her on a diet!

Wednesday September 28th, 2022

The boys started a Pickleball league at the Anthem Community  Center last night, and really seemed to enjoy it. Although, Kellan said he rolled his ankle, and is now emailing me from school that he should probably see the nurse for it...sigh...

I went to All School Mass this morning. Camden read the 1st reading, and Kellan was in the choir. God is good!

Monday September 19th, 2022

What a day! Thank you all so much for the prayers.

I know it was a minor procedure, but I was so worked up about Camden going under anesthesia again. Praise God all is good! And, of course, some funny moments came out of this...

When I went back to the recovery room, Camden greeted me with the biggest "Hi Mom!" ever! My heart burst with love. Then he said, "that was SO fun! Can I do it again?!"

We had to stop at Walgreens on the way home to get Advil (dr.'s request) and tomato soup (his request). In I walk holding Camden up as Camden has an ice pack to his mouth. The cashier took one look at us and I could tell, immediately wanted us out of the store. She asked, "what happened to him?" I told her, and said I just needed to get Advil and we'd be on our way. She got the Advil for us, and practically pushed us out. Later I asked Camden if he remembered stopping at Walgreens, and he said, "I remember a mean lady".

When we got home, I was helping Camden walk through our back door. Torrey was waiting right there to greet him. He looked down at Torrey and exclaimed, "A dog! Can I pet her?!" We got further into the house, and he said, "You have an orange cat?!?!" I smiled and told Camden it's his cat too. He just could not believe his luck!

I got Camden all set up snuggly on the couch. He would go from looking around the room quietly to dozing, to exclaiming how big our house is!

This is when I knew he truly was not back to normal yet. I asked Camden if he wanted his pillow, and he said yes, so I went and got his Vikings pillow. As I was coming toward him, I pointed to the Vikings, and asked Camden what this was. He grinned like a little toddler, and yelled, "Purple!". I pointed again to the Vikings guy, and asked, "but who's this?" He grinned from ear to ear and said, "Pillow!". I once more asked, and he was a little less enthusiastic, and said, "guy?"...

I told Camden his brother was worried about him and praying for him. Camden was stunned "I have a brother?!" I said, "yes! His name is Kellan." Camden beamed and said, "That's a really good name!"

Camden had to go to the bathroom, so I walked him to the hallway. We have all the boys school pics hanging up in our hallway. As Camden rounded the corner, he was again, just stunned! "Who are all these people?!" He finally recognized Kellan, but had no idea who he was. He was also thrilled to find out people have middle names.

He had no idea what grade he was in, or what a grade was. When I told him 7th, he yelled, "Wow! That's big!"

Camden is such a brave, strong, good little guy. Praise God!

Wednesday June 8th, 2022

We were talking today and I asked the boys what they would name their kids if they have them in the future. Kellan right away said Johnson for a boy and Selena for a girl. Camden thought for a while and said James for a boy and Sarah for a girl. Documenting this in case these are my future grandchildren's names!

Thursday May 26th, 2022

The other night, Kellan was sound asleep and I was reading in the bedroom. I heard the world's loudest toot. I could not believe that sound could come out of that little guy. I was silently cracking up. The toot was so loud that it woke Kellan up from his sound sleep. He padded grumpily into my bedroom, didn't say a word, crawled into bed with me, and went right back to sleep. I love that little cow!

Tuesday April 12th, 2022

I keep giving Torrey people food because, well you know. Camden goes around taking it out of her dish and saving her from it...

Tuesday January 25th, 2022

Kellan did such a great job this morning getting dressed, making his own breakfast, remembering to cut his nails. It was just above and beyond and I'm so proud of him. Then he walked out the door with his little school hoodie up and looked like a cute little gnome. I love this kid!

Camden's favorite food has been noodles and butter lately. Or as he calls it, strained noodys.

Tuesday January 4th, 2022

We are so grateful for a happy and health 2021, and look forward to an awesome 2022!

When I was waiting in the school pick up line yesterday afternoon, I could see Kellan. His little face was so happy and he was bouncing from friend to friend. When we got home I told him it warmed my heart to see him so happy. He responded, "I found a twig!"...
