Direct quote from Kellan to Uncle Nathan:
"I'm not just in to tornadoes, Uncle Nathan. I'm in to natural disasters in general"...
The boys and I were finishing up with dinner. Kellan and I were done, but Camden had a ways to go. Kellan started to get up from the table to, I can only imagine, go grab his iPad. Camden whined and asked Kellan to wait with him. More specifically, Camden asked Kellan to wait with him "at the table of plenty"...
The boys were being a tad shall we say, rambunctious. I told them to calm down in my best calm mom voice. Kellan giggled and said, "We can't calm down, Mom! We're George and Harold"! Ok...
The boys and I were playing Monopoly. Oscar wanted to play as well and used a miniature status of St. Joseph as his character...
This was a true test of my Mom-ness. I splurged and bought myself a pack of beef jerky for $6.99. It was delicious, or should I say what I got to try was delicious. Little Camden kept sneaking his hand in the bag and eating the jerky by the fistful. I tearfully handed him the bag and watched him devour the entire thing. Oh how we mothers have to suffer for our young!
The boys were playing a pretty competitive game on the computer. It was Camden's turn and he nervously said to Kellan, "Wish me luck!". Kellan barely looked up and said, 'I already wished you all the luck I had"...
The boys were giving me a history lesson on no doubt some natural disaster that had taken place long ago in the 'pillow peens'. I for the life of me could not figure out what the 'pillow peens' were. After questioning the boys so many times they were totally annoyed with me, Kellan shouted, "Mom! The PILLOW PEENS!". That's when I realized this kid meant Philippines...
We got to babysit little Max while Uncle Neil and Aunt Vanessa went on their honeymoon. Max sat on my lap because he loves his favorite Aunt. Camden came over, crawled on my lap and said to Max, "That's my lap and that will always be my lap so skeedaddle". My heart melted. My Monkey loves me!
We were up early, go figure, so we watched the Royal Wedding. Ever since then, Camden has been calling my his loyal subject...
Kellan pointed out that the Queen of England and USA are frenemies. What?...
Kellan woke up in the middle of the night to go potty. I guided his skinny sleepy shoulders to the bathroom and said, "I love you baby boy". He replied sleepily, "Yes, but tornadoes are very rare in Arizona"...
