Kellan was playing with a toy and put it up to his mouth. I yelled, "Kellan! Don't put that in your mouth!" He replied, "I was just doing that to see if it's disgusting." Like, duh...
I kept the location of Kellan's birthday party a surprise to him. On the morning of his party I asked him if he knew where the party was. He replied, "Yea! At the party!" Like, duh...
The boys and I were looking for something and happened to find it right away. Camden and I immediately said, "Thank you Saint Anthony!" Kellan looked confused. He said, "We found it before we even had to ask those guys!" Like, duh...
Kellan loves when the music guy, Mr. Rick, comes to his school on Monday's. He must have sang the "Monster Truck" song for him, because the teachers asked me to bring the link to the song so Mr. Rick could learn it.
Santa got the boys a volcano set for Christmas. Unfortunately, Santa didn't realize that the whole process takes a few days to create. When we were finally working on it, Kellan was so excited he was about to erupt! Then I realized you have to bake the base, and wait a couple days. When Kellan found this out he was devastated. He was really good about it though and didn't throw too much of a fit. At night, I asked Kellan what he would like to thank God for today. He lifted his blue eyed cow head sadly and said, "for almost letting me do the volcano today"...
Kellan told me he was sick so I told him I'd put him to bed so he could rest. He immediately replied, "I'm only medium sick, though!"...
The boys slept in late, but I knew it was ok, because they weren't going to school, but to Grammy and Granfy's that day. I told them we didn't have time to eat breakfast at home, but they could eat right when they got to Grammy's. Camden happily went to the pantry, got a loaf of bread and jar of Nutella and got in the car...
We were all at Buffalo Wild Wings. Camden's very good about saying thank you when the server brings him something, but it usually takes Kellan a little nudging. He's working on it though. The server brought Grammy her iced tea and without thinking, I said, "Grammy? What do you say?"...
We were walking out of Walmart, and Kellan suddenly took the grocery bag he was carrying and held it over his shoulder like a robber. I asked him if the bag had $ signs on it and he giggled and said "yes!". This kid doesn't know what month his birthday is in, but knows all the traits of a robber...
We were at the movie theater and Kellan asked for my phone. I could not believe it! I had taken the boys to this wonderful experience and he wanted to watch my phone. But, he held it up and compared it to the movie screen and confirmed, "Yep! The movie "pheater" is bigger!" Sigh...
I was multi-tasking one morning and making breakfast and playing tic tac toe with Camden. He kept giving me a hard time when I couldn't make my move right away because I was trying to feed my herd. So, I made a point of staying right by Camden to play for a minute. I heard a pop and he said, "Mom, my toast popped up. Can you please pause playing tic tac toe to get that for me?" I can't win...
