November 12th, 2012

Grammy and Granfy took the boys to church yesterday. When the priest said "The Mass is ended, go in peace..." Camden shouted Yippie!
Camden's new saying is "Uh Oh Paskettios!" We don't like hearing that...
I asked Camden to sing his ABC's. Verbatim this is how it went. ABCDEF We are Never Ever Getting Back Together...
Camden's hair was getting so long and out of control, we were considering donating several inches to Locks of Love
Camden has already figured out that if Mom says no to something he can go ask Dad and get a yes and vice versa...

November 8th, 2012

Camden and Kellan got their first pets last night! Two fishies which Camden named Germ and Churley. A Zebra fish and a small catfish.

On the chart yet?... No :(

October 17th, 2012

Nick usually drops the boys off at school in the morning. He says Kellan walks around like he owns the place. Camden just non stop talks the whole way to his classroom.
Grammy got a word on Words With Friends that was worth 102 points. She got so excited that Camden told her to calm down.
Camden got a pillow light pet from Grammy and Granfy for his birthday. Kellan loves it so much that he falls asleep stretched out on his back looking at the stars and lights on the ceiling.
Daddy bought Camden Coco Puffs for breakfast. Camden took one bite and said "these chocolate Kix are delicious!"

The Train at Walmart

This happened a while ago, and I just now feel comfortable writing about it.
I took Camden shopping at WalMart. As we were leaving I saw all the little kid rides they have there and asked Camden if he wanted to ride one. He immediately said no. I should have listened to that little brown eyed boy...
I put a screaming Camden in a train ride that just goes back and forth. I leaned down to put the quarter in to start it and the train took off as fast as lightning! It hit me in the head and knocked me to the floor. A screaming Camden turned into a louder screaming Camden as he started to fall out of the fastest train ride on earth. I was too dazed to grab him. I just sat on the floor while he screamed and hoped no one was watching. Once I got my wits about me, I got him out of the evil train, threw him in the cart and walked out of WalMart with a purposeful step and my head held high. I made sure not to make eye contact with a living soul...

October 12th, 2012

Can't believe Camden turned 3 yesterday! And he starts preschool today! Wow!
I asked Camden how old he was going to be this week and he said "Lot's of three's!"
Kellan threw a major temper tantrum at school the other day. He wanted his sippy cup so he grunted to get it. The teachers tried to make him use his words. That did not go over well with Smellan. Humongous temper tantrum ensued...
Camden is now signing "more" because he sees the positive reaction we give Kellan when he does it!
I asked Camden if he wanted to watch Little Einstein's and he said he wanted to watch Big Einstein's- sigh!
Camden's new phrase is "maybe tomorrow." I ask him anything, if he wants to get dressed, eat dinner, etc. and his reply is usually "Maybe tomorrow."
Camden and I were in my bed the other evening, both checking our cell phones. Wish I would have got a picture of that!
Grammy changed Camden a while ago and then Camden said "OK Grammy my turn to wipe you, lay down!"
Grammy asked Camden about his girlfriend Jaylee and Camden looked at Grammy and shushed her!
Kellan loves to crawl out the doggie door at Grammy and Granfy's.
We told Camden we were taking him shopping and he said "Oh we're going to Walgreen's?" That might be a sign I go there a tad too often.
Camden never sings the songs he learns at school, but the other day he sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with me. Couldn't have been cuter!
We were at the bar watching football with the kids. (Please don't call CPS). Grammy took Camden to the potty. When he was done he ran out of the bathroom screaming at the top of his lungs "I WENT PEE PEE IN THE POTTY!" The whole place erupted in applause and laughter. I did the same thing a few minutes later and no one cheered for me :(
Grammy and Granfy took Camden to the splash park. They had to walk through the entrance of the Community Center which must look like a restaurant to Camden because he said "Oh, we're going to eat first?"
Camden's learning about feelings. He was playing with his airplanes saying "airplane sad" When I would get a sad face and ask why he would just look at me solemnly and repeat that the airplane was sad.
This happened a few months ago, but I haven't had a chance to write about it. I was thinking I would take one weekend to potty train Camden. I was going to let him run around without a diaper on and see what happened. I knew I was probably in for a few messes, but had no idea the kind of mess that was actually going to happen...
I was emptying the dish washer in the kitchen when I heard Kellan scream. I came around the corner and saw Camden standing there peeing on Kellan. I could not believe my eyes! Needless to say both boys were bathed quickly after that.

September 27th, 2012

Nick and I were in the bathroom getting ready this morning and the boys were in the kitchen eating breakfast. All of the sudden Camden yells "HEY KELLAN, WHERE ARE NICK AND CARRIE?!" We looked at each other and collapsed..

August 31st, 2012

I asked Camden to do something the other day and he replied "I'm really busy playing cars right now."
I had no idea school was teaching Kellan sign language (mother of the year). I noticed he kept doing the same hand motion when he was eating, and sure enough, he knows the universal sign for more. So cute!
I really need to remember that the boys are sponges right now. I was changing Kellan and Kellan was being fussy and Camden ran over and yelled "I'm doing the best I can, Kellan!"
I laughed at Camden the other day and he said "I'm something else!"
Camden and I were out to eat the other day. Our waiter came by the table and accidentally dropped a spoon. Camden looked at him and said "you dropped that." The waiter was like yea- thanks for calling me out on that kid.
When Kellan does something Camden doesn't like he yells "NO TANK TOO KELLAN!" at the top of his lungs
We went to a pool party the other day. Camden packed up his fire truck full of cars and toys. The kids were playing in a plastic pool and I was talking to a Mom that I thought may become a new friend. I thought wrong. She looked at me kind of funny and said "Is your kid playing with Jesus in the pool?" I looked at Camden and realized he had packed the St. Joseph figurine in his fire truck and was happily playing with it in the pool. I blushed and the woulda been new friend avoided me the rest of the party...
I picked up Kellan from school the other day and all the other kids were playing. He was at the table eating. Mr. 1st percentile in weight!
Camden has been wearing big boy underwear and going poo poo and pee pee in the potty like a champ!
I brought Camden to work after one of his doc apps and there is a conference room for the CEO by my desk. Camden laid down in front of the glass windows and just kind of flopped around. Everyone important in the company was in that room. Thank God I heard laughter as I picked him up not bothering to take the time to bend like a lady while wearing a skirt.

August 30th, 2012

When I picked Camden up from school yesterday I asked Miss Lexi if he had any friends that he was really close with so I could invite them to his bday party. Miss Lexi said Bentley is his best friend. On the way home I asked Camden if he liked Bentley and he said I love Harrison.

August 17th, 2012

The other day we took the boys to the McDonald's play place. (Partly (100%) because we were going insane cooped up in the house with them)
Camden was a little scared to go all the way up the stairs to the slide. A little girl came along and said. "My name's Julia. I'm 4 years old I'll show you how to climb the stairs. I'm a fast girl." God I hope that's the last time Camden hears "I'm a fast girl!"...
Kellan Melon head has been waking up around 1am and wanting to come sleep in mom and dad's room. We're not too sure about this new rooming situation...
Dad was driving the boys to school today and singing funny songs and dancing to entertain the boys. Camden finally yelled "Just drive, Daddy!"

Thursday, August 16, 2012

August 16th, 2012

Camden went to school in Big Boy underwear today! I'm going to call to check on how he's doing. Kellan likes to wear the big boy underwear on his head...sigh.
Camden tried every excuse in the book not to go to school today. He wanted to go to Grammy and Granfy's. "I want to watch Mickey Mouse with Mitzie and Muffie." "I want to go pee pee in the potty at Grammy's house." This didn't work on Mom.

Cowsmell weighs 19.1lbs. He  needs another day off to recover from the road trip and is going to stay home with Grammy. He's a little dramatic with his stiff neck!

July 13th, 2012

Camden can count to 13! Yes, he may happen to skip 5 every time, but don't take this joy away from me!
Yesterday, Nick was leading Kellan around the house with a Cheerio trail. Sigh...
I was changing Camden's diaper this morning. When I was all done, he got up, bent over, and stuck his skinny naked little white butt in my face and yelled "THERE'S MORE POO POO, MOMMA!" After wiping away the invisible poop all I could do was shake my head and feel if he was warm...
Why does Kellan use monkey noises to tell us when he wants something. I sure hope he's more human than monkey...
I asked Camden why he doesn't want to go poo poo in the potty and I swear he replied "It's too complicated." Should have known he had 2 helicopters in his hands and was actually saying "Two helicopters."
I went in to check on the boys last night and Kellan was sound asleep clutching Scout's hand. Pretty much the cutest thing I've ever seen.
I was up around 2am the other night and couldn't sleep. I heard Scout go off and peeked in to see Kellan playing quietly with Scout. He knew it wasn't time to get up, so he was quietly entertaining himself. I love that kid... or Scout... hard to tell...

Wednesday, July 11, 2012

July 11th, 2012

I called Kellan a monkey the other day, and Camden got so mad at me! He yelled I'M A MONKEY! KELLAN'S A MOO COW!!!

Tuesday, July 10, 2012

July 10th, 2012

I dropped both Camden and Kellan off in Room 3 this morning. Kellan looked around excitedly taking it all in. Camden looked at his brother like WTF?!?!?

Thursday, July 5, 2012

July 5th, 2012

What does Kellan Tilley and Joaquin Phoenix have in common? They're both Joaquin (walking) ahahahahahahaha!

Monday, June 18, 2012

June 18th, 2012

Big day for Cowbell! He got to move to Room 2 at school. Not because he can walk, but because all his friends are in Room 2 and there's too much crowding in Room 1... Sigh...

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

June 13th, 2012

Kellan is bear crawling! He's ready to walk any day. He better not be a little stinker and wait 'til he's 17 months to walk like his brother.

Friday, June 1, 2012

June 1st, 2012

Camden's teacher calls him baby bird. He says yup I baby bird.
Camden took a beanie baby dachshund, stuck the tail in his nose and said "Mitzie get my booger."
When I take the boys to school we say our prayers in the car each morning. I asked Camden who he wanted to pray for. First day was Mickey Mouse, the next was Grammy. Ha!
Every time Camden toots he yells "I shot a duck!" at the top of his lungs.
Camden dropped a toy car and it fell under the table. He asked his stuffed dog, Lucy, to get it. Lazy tyke!
I came in to the boys room one morning and they had both taken their diapers off and thrown them in the middle of the room. Really?!
I was changing Kellan in the living room when all of the sudden I heard the music go off in Camden's potty. He went pee pee in the potty all by himself! My big guy!
I was totally engrossed in something else, not really paying attention to Camden (please don't call CPS) when all of the sudden he screamed "I'm not pooping!". I looked over and his face was beat red, he was bent over and grunting. He would never lie to Momma, right?

Friday, May 11, 2012

May 11th, 2012

Kellan is blowing kisses, clapping, laughing and really starting to interact with us. It's exciting, but Camden gets soooo jealous when we pay attention to Kellan. Camden blows kissies too and says I can walk, Mom!

Wednesday, May 9, 2012

May 9th, 2012

Remee and Impy took Camden and Kellan to the Splash Park today. Camden pooped on Remee...

Thursday, April 26, 2012

April 26th, 2012

I gave Kellan a cookie this morning and from the look on his face you would have thought I had told him that every day is Christmas now. He loves to eat! And we think he's huge because he's in the 2nd percentile for weight...
Well, Camden has a girlfriend. The teacher told us yesterday that he and Jaylee were inseparable. Jaylee was cyring and her mom was holding her this morning when Camden got to school. Jaylee then stopped crying and went to play with Camden. Jaylee's mom said Jaylee talked about Camden all night. Iyla from Minnesota wanted to Skype with Camden the other day. I thought he may be a little lady killer but I didn't think this would start at age 2 1/2!
I heard a snap and Camden came running up to me with a broken toy. I asked, Camden what happened?! He looked me right in the eye and said Kellan broke it. Kellan was napping at the time.

Thursday, April 19, 2012

April 19th, 2012

Camden had food stuck in his teeth this morning and wouldn't let me get it out, so I just sent him to school like that...
Kellan got a good nose bash! It looks even worse now and it’s 3 days later. School said he was trying to do a 3 point turn. He tripped over a soft foam circle and landed right on his face. Poor guy! He’s taken 1 ½ steps by himself and stood on his own for a micro second, but he’s not walking yet. Although I do predict he’ll be walking before the 17 months it took Camden… Sigh!
Camden is just getting over a mouth infection. Last week I said Camden, it's time for your medicine. He said "I don't want to do medicine right now no thank you." At least he was polite about it.
The other day I was with the boys and Camden clearly had pooped his diaper. I said Camden, are you stinky? He looked at me dead seriously and said, no Momma, Kellan stinky.
So I've never denied the fact that I'm a hypochondriac. I just never realized how bad it was. Camden asked me for the mirror I keep in my purse and when I gave it to him he immediately said "AAAHHH!" and looked down his throat. Ok, ok so I constantly am checking myself for strep throat...

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

Kellan's stats 04.17.12

17lbs
11oz
Can not for the life of him understand why the doctor poked him with a needle today! :(

Wednesday, April 4, 2012

April 4th, 2012

Camden wore 18 month jammie bottoms to bed last night. When he came into our room to wake us up this morning, his pants were around his ankles. I'm assuming they kept sliding down his Pinocchio legs during his trek to our room.
I was changing Kellan and he point blank threw a toy car in my face and then laughed maniacally. At what age can you determine if someones going to go down the criminal path?
I was rinsing out bottles and corralling Kellan with my feet the other day. I heard a crash come from the boys' bedroom. Camden came out. I looked at him and asked "Where were you?". He pointed and his chest and said "I was right here!".
One of Kellan's teacher's names is Miss Aroma. I wonder if she was given that name or chose it after changing our son's diaper?
Camden walked in to school the other day and one teacher had cereal and the other had painting materials. I have never seen a kid so torn in my life. His little head swiveled back and forth trying to decide what to do. Just a little shout out to our pediatrician- he chose the cereal...
I was reading through a magazine the other day and saw the name Kellan. I was like- I like that name. Really?! I should hope so! I named my child that! Mommy brain...

March 15th, 2012

Happy 1st birthday to our sweet little "Cowbell!" Kellan Hix Tilley!

Thursday, March 8, 2012

March 8th, 2012

What a week! Please pray for Grammy and Granfy Gall. Every thing's fine, but they could definitely use some extra prayers right now.
Little Cowbell will be 1 one week from today! Can you beleive it? The pregnancy definitely didn't go this fast!
Camden came home with a pretty big boo boo on his head yesterday. The teacher told Nick one of the kids had hit him on the forehead with a toy truck. They said Camden was just fine and definitely got plenty of TLC. When I got home from work I took Camden to WalMart. On the way there, he kept pointing to his head and saying "truck howie!" I said "I know you got an owie with a truck today Camden and I'm so sorry." I asked who hit him just out of politeness assuming he would just keep repeating "Truck Howie!" Then a teeny tiny voice from the back seat (car seat facing frontwards take that 1 year olds!) said "Braylon" I couldn't believe he knew the name of a kid in his class, let alone the name of the kid that hit him! When we dropped him off at school the next day I went in his classroom. There are several different sections of the kids artwork hanging around the room. Camden pointed out his and I shushed him with a yeah yeah. I wanted to check out this Braylon bullies stuff. Turns out, his name is actually Brayden, and he's (obviously) no one near as skilled as my Camden in creating artwork. Live it up now Brayden, some day you'll be working for my kid bwa a a  :)

February 17th, 2012

Kellan's been throwing up. Oh Lord do I hope he's not getting what's been going around lately. Any prayers would be greatly appreciated.
I was sound asleep this morning when I awoke to a little Camden at the side of my bed. He giggled and waited for me to pull him into bed. We (I) fell back asleep quickly. Then I awoke to Camden touching each and every (all 10) of my fingernails and yelling PRETTY! at the top of his lungs. I had painted my nails one day and told Camden it was pretty. Now, at 3:30am in the dark Camden had no idea that I didn't have a drop of nail polish on any one of my (10!) nails, but that did not stop him from touching each one and yelling "PRETTY!"

Thursday, February 16, 2012

February 7th, 2012

I was working out this morning and Kellan was in the swing watching me. He started absolutely just belly laughing. Talk about a boost to my ego...
Then later in the day, I was playing with Camden on the couch. He pointed at my armpit hair and belly laughed. Why do people have kids?... I can't remember...

Monday, February 13, 2012

February 12th, 2012

Camden went pee pee in the potty!
Kellan started feeding himself finger food!
Our little animals are growing up!

Thursday, February 2, 2012

February 2nd, 2012

I was in the kitchen when Camden walked in and said "Hi!" I said "Hi Sweetheart!" and he said "Hi Sweetheart!". I cracked up.
Camden was in rare form the other night and I was constantly telling him to stop this, do that, stop putting things in Kellan's ears, don't drink dish soap, etc... He finally looked at me and said "Go play, Momma." That little stinker used the line I use on him when I need a break...
Kellan is pulling himself up like crazy now and so proud of himself. He laughs and laughs at this difficult feat he's accomplished! Camden looks on in fear as he knows the days of him being the bully are over...

Friday, January 27, 2012

Thursday, January 26, 2012

January 26th, 2012

Camden's new thing is saying "Yummy Yummy" to every food he sees. He still doesn't eat of course, but apparently it looks "Yummy Yummy" to him...
I handed Camden a puzzle piece with a "W" on it and asked him what letter it was. He replied "green". He's a genius.
We were at the doctor's office waiting and it was taking forever. Camden looked at me and asked Doctor, sleeping? Ha!
Here are the animal's stats. Camden James Tilley 19.6 lbs 31  inches. Kellan Hix Tilley 16.3 lbs 27 inches 18.4 head. :)
Grammy and I were at WalMart with Camden. He spotted a balloon that had floated away and was waaaay up in the rafters. He looked at Grammy to get it for him. Grammy smiled and said- I can't get that, Camden, it's way too high! Camden looked right back at Grammy with a serious face and said "Reemee, jump!"
Poor Cowbell's on an antibiotic right now. Can't seem to get over this congestion. The little cow is miserable. :(
So, Camden's been growling lately when he's upset. Until now, I had no idea where this had come from. Then, while on the phone with Grammy, she growled. I was like, what was that?! She responded that she growled because she got stuck at a yellow light. The light bulb went off in our heads as to how Camden picked this up...
Last night, Camden kept opening a drawer in the bathroom and  putting his cars in it. I asked him repeatedly not to do that. When he did it again, I opened the drawer and took his car and put it out of his reach. I fully expected a full blown temper tantrum at this point, but instead, clear as a bell, he said Momma, you're being mean. I imploded.

January 5th, 2012

I was working out in the living room this morning and Camden was absolutely cracking up as he watched me. I don't blame him. I can only imagine what I looked like. Well... there goes my fitness instructor career.
Granfy loves singing his made up song to Camden. The minute he begins singing, Camden points at Granfy and yells "NO!". Granfy, of course, finds this absolutely hilarious. So whenever Camden misbehaves, I blame it on Granfy. It can't be our parenting.
Camden asked me to get his puzzle down the other day. He sat on the floor as I was bringing it to him. I had almost set it in front of him when he accidentally knocked over his sippy cup. I stopped and said "Camden, first pick up your sippy cup". Camden surprised me by doing what I said right away. I happily set the puzzle down in front of Camden. Once the puzzle was within his reach, he purposefully knocked over his sippy cup and looked at me. That little...
Last night Camden had Lucky Charms dipped in Spaghettios for dinner.
So school supposedly does not play favorites. Let me know what you think after reading this. Camden has a truck at school that he's particularly fond of. The teachers save this truck for him, by putting it high up on a shelf and presenting it to him when he walks in the door. If they don't give it to him right away, he walks right into the room and does a quick survey to make sure no one is playing with his truck. The kids also know this is "Camden's" truck. A boy happened to be playing with the truck and a little girl named MacKenzie ran up to the teacher pointing and shouting "Camden's truck! Camden's truck!" I blame both school and Granfy for any behavioral problems Camden may have...
Poor Camden had a rough night the other night. I think he's getting a molar, because he was holding both sides of his cheeks saying "Howie!" I finally took him out on the couch to sleep with me. He would be fine with me sharing his pillow and then it would make him mad. I spent most of the night flipping from one side of the couch to the other. When he was ready for me to have my head on his pillow again he would tap me, point at the pillow and say "Wite Dere!" Which meant he wanted my head "right there."
I know there aren't too many Kellan stories. That's because he's a perfect little angel in every way. (I wonder if that statement will ever come back to bite me in the butt...?)

January 2nd, 2012

Happy New Year! May God bless us all in 2012 and beyond!
Kellan was in his swing when Camden picked up the Lions Mickey Mouse and said "ready?" and threw it up in the air. Kellan thought this was the absolute funniest thing in the history of histories. That's all the encouragement Camden needed. This game went on for a while. I thought I would sit at the dining room table and check some emails while they were occupied. I could hear their every move (who couldn't) so I went to work. Then, of course, Camden thought it would be funny to get a little closer to landing the Mickey on Kellan's head when he threw it. After one particularly close call, I got up and started walking over toward them. Camden came at me and yelled "NO! MOMMA CHAIR SIT NOW!" and proceeded to push me back to the dining room chair. I was so amazed at his ability to put so many words together at once (yes, it's a sentence to me) that I just went and sat back down. Camden and Kellan continued their comedy act, and I lost a little bit of parental credibility...
Over the weekend I had just walked in the door when Nick had to leave. We were tag team parenting. After I set my stuff down, Camden insisted I follow him to his bedroom. As I came around the corner, I realized the bedroom doors were shut. I said, "Camden, I'm thinking Daddy has these doors closed for a reason..." but that didn't stop the determination of this 2 year old. We kept walking and as we got to the bedroom doors Camden grunted for me to open them. I was curious to see where this was going, so I did. After entering the room I realized the closet doors were shut as well. Feeling I could be redundant with Camden instead of mustering up the energy to make a new sentence I once again said "Camden, I'm thinking Daddy has these doors closed for a reason..." And Camden, who felt no need to be creative with me, grunted for me to open these doors as well.
I did and looked at Camden. He took a big step back, smiled and pointed waaaay up high to the top shelf of the closet. Then he looked and me with his smile and said "ball!" I knew that Nick had put the bat and ball up there for a reason. I didn't want to even think about what I knew had happened. Camden was probably hitting his younger/bigger brother with the bat. So I made a feeble attempt to reach the ball and said "I'm sorry, Camden. The ball is too high up. I can't reach it." He looked at me and said "Jump!". I fell over...
