I love that Camden and Kellan watch Spongebob. It's as if my life has come full circle. Kellan calls Squidward "Spickward". He was eating Spongebob cereal this morning when I was leaving for work. I said "Bye! I love you!", and he replied "Patrick"....

Camden found a back scratcher at Grammy and Granfy's house. Instead of I guess playing with it like a normal kid would, he looked at it and determined that it looked like a lower case "r".

We were at Grammy and Granfy's new condo and Kellan asked for chocolate milk. Grammy gave it to him and said, "please don't spill." Kellan looked at her earnestly and said "if I spill will you have to buy a new condo?"

We had chicken for dinner and there was a wishbone. I explained to Camden how you make a wish and whoever gets the bigger piece gets to have their wish come true. Camden and I went head to head, after silently making our wishes, and he won! I asked him what his wish was and he said he couldn't tell me because then it wouldn't come "through". Finally he did say he wished for a dog...

Camden Kellan and I have been playing football (by Camden's rules) and hide the football. Two of us will go to the kitchen so we can't see the  living room, and that person will hide the football somewhere in the room.
Every time Kellan hides the ball, he immediately points to where it is when we come out to look for it. His laughter is contagious.

A commercial for a pumice stone was on TV. They showed a lady using it to get the dead skin crap off her foot. Kellan asked for that for Christmas.

Ok, another commercial story, but I swear we don't watch THAT much TV. The Nationwide commercial came on and Camden sang "Nationwide is on your side", with the TV.

We decided we should probably let the boys take turns sleeping on the top bunk. We weren't sure how Camden was going to take this, so we tread lightly. Nick asked me if Camden was going to S-L-E-E-P on the B-O-T-T-O-M.  Camden yelled "NO! I'm sleeping on the top!". Damn smart kid...

The boys and I always say our prayers in the car on the way to school. Camden says the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be all by himself. Then Kellan prays. It's a jumble of words he whispers. Sometimes I can make out a few words "cars, tree, dinosaur, etc." As long as he's praying!

January 9th, 2015

We were all getting ready for school one morning. Camden kept asking what day it was, was he going to school, etc. Finally I told him to get his shoes on and he said "well, I guess this is happening..."

Kellan says he's a hippo-tom-i-num

If I could bottle and sell Kellan's laughter, I'd be a millionaire. That kid just is so happy and doesn't have a care in the world.

I picked the boys up from school and it must have been definitely pick up time, because the place was packed. I was leading the boys through the traffic jam in the hallway. Some of the parents were kind of looking at me, and I thought "Oh good! It must show I'm losing weight!" Then a little tap from Camden on my arm had me look down at him. He just pointed behind us to Kellan casually strolling down the hallway with his pants around his ankles. That kid has a pot belly, but no waist to hold those pants up!

Camden rarely gives kisses, so when he grabbed my face and brought it to his, I thought "Oh a rare Cam kiss!". Then he just proceeded to put his mouth around my nose. I was stunned and just kind of sat there. He pulled away and said "You don't have any boogers, but I feel hair". Nothing like a 5 year old to boost your self esteem...

Camden is so logical. He can't stand when Kellan makes things up or pretends to see something that isn't there (airplane, bus, etc.). Camden just gets so worked up. I finally pulled Camden aside and said, "this is ok what Kellan's doing. He's using his imagination and that's just fine!". It was dark out and we were driving home and Kellan said he saw a helicopter. After frantically searching the sky, Camden said, "He must be using his imagistation".

I told the boys we were on our way to pick up Dad's new truck. Kellan looked really surprised and said "We can't pick up the truck. We're too little to hold it!"

On the way to get said truck, all 4 of us were in the car and talking all at once. We were all getting frustrated that we weren't being heard and couldn't hear what was being said. Then there was complete silence for about 17 seconds. Camden piped up from the back seat and said "well now what?".

One of the other teachers told me that Camden is Miss Jackie's teachers pet. Of course he is. He's the cutest smartest best parented kid in there!

January 4th, 2015

Camden: "Grammy needs a GPS because she doesn't know how to get to Chili's."

Kellan saw a handicap sign in the parking lot, and asked "Is that for people that have to go potty?"

Camden "Mom! Your eyeshadow looks like a beautiful rainbow!"
Me: Already on my way to the store to get new eyeshadow...

Kellan: "Alf landed on the food changer!" (Stove)

The pest control guy came to the door and Camden told him he loved him...

Nick and I are going to have to start using Pig Latin because Camden call spell and hears everything...

Ummm.. it's been a while since Kellan's been potty trained, and I just realized he wipes his booty and throws the TP in the trash... Gross!

We were all playing football, and Kellan had the ball and was on the opposing team. He said "Mom, if you say please I'll throw the ball to you!" If that was how football worked, the Lion's would be in the Super Bowl for sure!

Kellan said I could put his shoes on him if I said please. He tricked me into doing it too.

The boys got umbrellas for Christmas. Kellan calls it a "broombrella".

Out of the blue, Camden said, "How do I know Grampa Dick is holding my heart when I can't see him?"

I was complimenting Kellan's cute little white butt. He asked me why his butt was white. I said that's how God made it. He thought a minute and said "I think Dad painted it white". I turned around and laughed, then he said "No, Camden must have thrown a snowball at it"...

Kellan's in a stage where he knocks stuff down, spills and hits Camden. He thinks it's OK if he looks at me with those blue eyes and says "I didn't mean to!" Usually he's halfway through the act when saying "I didn't mean to"...

I told the boys to sit down because Daddy was getting dinner ready. Camden looked at me with his long eyelashes and said "But dinner hasn't been served yet"... What? We're not classy!

Camden has always pronounced the toy room the "tour/two room". Now Kellan's doing it too. Oh well, maybe they'll get it right when they're 18...

Here's a picture Camden drew of the Blue Lions and Purple "Bikings playing football"

Camden was sounding out this word. He said "M E M loading R E X". Sigh. Kids and their technology...
