I took Kellan to Mass at Camden's school today. He explained to me that he can only be good at Grammy's church. I definitely believe him.
Kellan was really good at Grammy and Granfy's church yesterday. I'm assuming part of the reason I thought he was so good was that he laid in my arms quietly the whole time. After Mass, we saw the priest. Kellan told the priest he was really being good during Mass. The priest replied, "yes! I saw that you were sleeping the whole time! Did my homily put you to sleep?" Kellan promptly replied "yes."...
Camden and Kellan love hearing stories about themselves when they were little. I don't have many stories since I've only got 5 1/2 years to pull from so far. We told Camden the story of when he met Kellan for the fist time. Granfy was, of course, running through the hospital causing trouble. He was wheeling Camden through the hospital halls in a wheelchair and had put rubber gloves on Camden's hands, feet and head.
When we finally tracked Granfy down, we wanted Camden to meet his little brother. Granfy held Camden over Kellan's crib. Camden took one look at Kellan, jumped a mile, and began to cry. Kellan laughed at this story, but Camden was pondering it seriously. Finally, Camden said, "I didn't want to be running through the halls causing mischief, but I was only 17 months old and Granfy couldn't understand me"...
I packed a cookie in Camden's lunch box, and when I picked him up, he promptly told me he's not allowed to have cookies or unhealthy snacks. He's been in kindergarten for 2 weeks and I've already been in trouble.
Kellan still loves playing "I Spy" in the car. It's really hard to play this game in Arizona because the only colors to choose from are brown and kind of green...
Playing "I Spy" again, we asked Kellan to give us a hint of what he spied. He proceeded to whisper what he was looking at. That was a really good clue!
Camden and I were having some time together. He wanted to play cars. He kept telling me to pick a car and then cracking up because I picked the "wrong" one. He said, "don't worry, Mom. I used to pick the wrong cars when I was little"...
Kellan asked to take a bath, and I told him we'd take one after dinner. He put on his pouty face and said "if I start to cry, I'll be so mad!"...
I checked on the boys last night, and Kellan shot up and out of bed. I said, "Kellan, go back to sleep! It's the middle of the night!". He laid right back down and said, "oh, you just came to check on me". And the cow was immediately back asleep.
Camden was coloring at the table with Granfy. Finally Camden said, "Granfy, you don't have to talk"...
I was trying to get the boys in the car to go home after we all visited Grammy and Granfy. Kellan did not want to leave. He was grasping at straws for reasons to stay. Finally he said "Muffie wants me to stay because she really loves me." It was at that moment that Muffie regretted never learning how to speak English...
Camden made funny hair in the bath and wanted to see what he looked like. He asked me to take a picture of him so he could see what he looked like. After taking and showing him a few pictures, I realized, I should pull out the mirror and use that to show Camden what he looked like. A brilliant idea that took me quite a while to think of...
Kellan and I passed a big cloud of dark smoke on the way to school. Kellan was so excited and yelled "It's either a fire or a volcano!" We didn't stick around to find out which it was.
Camden was playing with cars. He was vrooming them across the floor. He looked at the one he had just slid and said "Mom, can you get me that one? It's not cooperating"...

August 29th, 2015
Camden asked how long it would take to get to school the other day. I told him about 15 minutes. He counted to 15 and looked to see if we were there. I told him that was 15 seconds and there are 60 seconds in every minute. He then proceeded to count to 60 15 times. What a great conversationalist...
Kellan came in to my room last night and said Camden snores so I have to sleep in here. 2 minutes later he was back in his bed. I don't think he thinks mine is very comfy cozy...
Camden made a phone out of some paper. He held it up to his ear and had this conversation with himself. "Hi, how are you? I'm fine, how are you? I'm perfect"...
Camden has been in rare form today. I exasperatedly asked him why he was being so loud. His reply? "It's boring when everyone is quiet".
Granfy is taking letters that the boys wrote to a couple on a Marriage Encounter. Both boys were debating on if they wanted to ride with Granfy there. It's about a 40 minute drive, so they kept going back and forth on if they wanted to go. At one point, both boys said they would ride with Granfy. Granfy turned pale white and looked at Grammy and I terrified. Then both boys decided to stay home and Grammy and I went pale. The whole point of this story was that Granfy said he had to drop the letters off at a hotel. Kellan looked quizzically at Granfy and said "what's a ho and a tell?"
We spent the day with Grammy and Granfy at their house. The boys were playing so nicely together and I told them so. Kellan looked at me with his dimples in full swing and asked "can we live here?!?!"
A few minutes before this, Kellan was being pretty grumpy grouchy. Grammy asked Kellan why he was being so restless. Kellan whined and replied "it's because I want to get spoiled!"
Kellan kept asking to watch his iPad. I said "no, why don't we have a conversation instead". Kellan screamed "I DON'T WANT TO HAVE A CONVERSATION!"
And flash to Kellan watching the iPad. He was watching monster trucks and cars. When a van came on, he called it a neighborhood. I don't know...
In the car, Kellan kept sporadically yelling "Jimmy John's!" from the backseat...
Camden always hassles me because I consistently miss the turn to his new school. I finally said, "we need to come up with some landmarks, so I can get used to knowing when the turn is coming up." Camden sighed and grabbed his MagnaDoodle. He started drawing landmarks. One was a streetlight, which helped immensely, and then he also drew a Speed Limit 45 sign. I'll probably never miss the school now thanks to these landmarks...
I picked Kellan up from school early. It just happened to be right as nap time was ending. I went to Kellan's mat to gently wake him up. He stirred and then slowly opened his eyes. When he saw me, he sat up and said "oh no! We lost puppy!" I was confused for a minute. I said "what puppy?" He proceeded to described the stuffed puppy he was in love with - which we lost about 2 1/2 years ago. Kellan took this puppy everywhere. When we realized it was lost, we were devastated and thought Kellan would be too. He never said a word about it and went on with life without a care in the world. So, 2 1/2 years later, it must have just hit him that his favorite stuffed animal in the whole wide world is missing. And he promptly forgot about it within the minute...
We've been teaching the boys how to call 911 if there's an emergency. Grammy is really working on getting them to say their name, the emergency, etc. As much as I hope this training is helping them, it's been quite hysterical as well. One mock call had Camden ending the call telling the "911 operator" he loved her...

Kellan sang me a song on the way to school and it included volcanoes and Walgreens...
At his new kindergarten, Camden's 6th grade helper's name is Natalie. She just loves him!
Kellan Grammy and I were walking in to morning prayer at Camden's school when Kellan suddenly (and out of the blue) announced that he didn't like tomato sauce... But he redeemed himself by saying this a few minutes later - "We can feel God in our hearts at morning prayer".
And Kellan went back in the dog house with this one. I said "I love you, Kellan!" He replied "I like you"...
Camden likes to comb his own hair and does a pretty good job. I wanted to comb it on the first day of kindergarten, and he just could not stand this. I firmly told him not to touch his hair as his hands got closer and closer to his monkey head. I can't argue with this one though. I did tell him not to touch his hair, so he rubbed it against the wall until it was messed up. I was still mad, but proud that he is smart enough to think of things like this. He just shouldn't be outsmarting me! Anyone else is fine ;)
There was a hint of rain coming (which is huge here in AZ) so the boys had to bring their 'broombrellas' (umbrellas) to swim class. After class, on the way out to the car, Kellan gleefully announced that he was allergic to rain! Camden sighed and said sadly, "I'm allergic to dust and pollen"... #1 we have never told Camden that he is allergic to anything in particular, and #2, I didn't know what pollen was until about 3 years ago...
Camden did an underwater handstand in the pool tonight at swim lessons. I cheered and waved to him and then quickly moved my hand from waving to pretending to fix my hair when I realized he should have been listening to the teacher and not goofing off...
Kellan was working on the backstroke tonight at swimming. I couldn't stop laughing at the fact that he has Fred Flintstone feet. They are very prominent when kicking and splashing in the clear pool water...
Camden and Kellan and I were playing school. They were the teachers, so I asked them what I should call them. Right away, Camden responded "Mr. Tilley". Kellan thought a minute and requested he be addressed as "Mr. Tellan"...
Out of the blue, in the car tonight Camden told me this. "God only makes good. If there's bad, it's because of people and their choices". I really needed to hear this, and wowed that it came from my 5 1/2 year old.
This morning, Camden was telling us that he had a dream about swim lessons. I said I had a dream that I was back in high school. Without missing a beat, Kellan said he dreamt about french toast...
The boys and I baked cookies last night. When they were finally cooled and ready, I placed the plate of delicious cookies on the table in front of the boys. Camden's face lit up and he pointed to the plate and said "Monkey see, monkey want". This has now become a very popular saying in the Tilley household...
Gross alert! Avert your eyes from this paragraph if you need to.
I pulled a booger out of Kellan's nose. As both boys were yelling "EW!" at the top of their lungs, Camden came to a realization. "Oh! That's what was making him shoot so many ducks"...
When Grammy's in the car with us, Camden aaaallllwaaays asks if she can get him out of his seat. This annoys me on several levels. The first being that he doesn't want his Mommy. The second, is that Camden is on my side of the car, and it would be so much easier for me to get him out and for Grammy to get Kellan out. Of course he asked Grammy to get him out the other day. I sighed and asked Camden why he always does this. He replied "I like her. She spoils me and I like spoilin'"...
We were all having dinner at Oregano's in Cave Creek. Camden was lying down in the booth and noticed there was gum stuck under the table. My first words (quietly) were "DON'T TOUCH IT!" Camden thought a minute and said "don't these people know that people sleep in these booths and can see the gum?"...
When walking in to said restaurant, Kellan said "Hey! This music sounds like trumpets!" It was totally a trumpet playing. I didn't know he knew what a trumpet was. I mean... I've had him in trumpet lessons for about 15 years now... Whew! Made that believable.
Still at Oregano's (I'm sure the staff were so happy about that). I had to go to the bathroom so I asked both boys several times if they had to go. They insisted they did not have to go. When I returned to the table (I went #1 only, I promise), Camden and Granfy were gone. I sighed because I knew Camden had convinced Granfy to take him to the bathroom. You know he asked Granfy as soon as I was out of his sight. A few minutes (forever) later, Camden announced grinning -when he was still about a football field away from the table, "Hi! We came back!". I went in to mean Mom mode, and then saw his dimples and Granfy's happy face. Let it be, Carrie, let it be...
Kellan had homework that involved artwork, so of course we went straight to Grammy for help. Grammy drew an amazing cow on the paper. I mean, it was perfect. (It's hard to be nice when you're jealous"). Camden was checking out the drawing as Grammy was drawing an udder. He asked innocently, "is that the milk tank?"...
We were all on the couch playing and Kellan giggled that he hurt his ribs. Camden asked me what ribs were, and Kellan matter of factly said "they are bones that protect our heart and chest". Camden's mouth dropped open, but he couldn't think of anything to say. He did not like one bit that Kellan not only knew something he didn't, but taught him something...
The boys were going on and on and said something that made me speechless. (I can't remember what they said because I have the process of blocking things out down pat). I told them "Mom is at a loss for words". Camden asked, "Why did you lose your words and where did they go?".

We had orientation for Camden tonight at his new school. I can't believe his first day of kindergarten is tomorrow! I'm going to sneak a tape recorder in there to get ammo for the blog... Or I mean, I'm just a proud parent...
This morning Camden came in to wake me up. We laid in bed making "shot a duck noises" for about 30 minutes. It was a sign it was going to be a great day...
At breakfast the other day, Kellan jumped up and pointed to his bee dee bee dee and whined. I told him to use his words. He fragrantly pointed to *ahem* 'down there' and yelled "PLEASE!" so the whole place knew I was giving my son a hard time about having to go to the bathroom...
I don't think we give Kellan enough credit. Probably because he can't get a word in with his big eye-lashed brother around. When I talk to Kellan, I usually don't get a response that I would like to hear. But after a few minutes, he usually does answer me on what we were talking about a while ago. Maybe this kid is just analyzing everything and we think he's in his own little world...
Camden and Kellan love hearing stories about when they were babies. (Prolly because it was so long ago). I tell the one story about Camden pooping on the plane on the way to Minnesota. They crack up every time. I finally asked what is so funny about poo-ing all over Mom. Both boys responded "that's a baby's job!"

August 16th, 2015
Camden just said that he got a bouncy ball out from under the micro-favorite. It was under the stove, so I just kind of went with the flow on that one...
The boys and I were doing arts and crafts. Well, they were. I was trying to at least draw a freakin' circle! I leaned over and said I was going to steal a piece of tape. Both boys gasped in horror and said they were going to call the police. I guess I shouldn't be so literal, or quit teaching them how to do the right thing. I'll decide when the time comes...
Kellan: "I didn't say I'm sorry, Camden. Is that ok?"
Camden: "I'm thinking about it".
Kellan: "I'm thinking about it too"...
Camden took a picture of himself with his iPad and then proceeded to draw a self portrait. When he was done, I was looking at it and asked him why he only had one ear. He pointed to the picture of him on the iPad, and only one ear was showing. (a tad OCD be he). I really hope he doesn't become one of those artists that start cutting off body parts to show symbolism or something...
I told Kellan thank you for being quiet. Seconds later, and I mean about 20 -do you know how long 20 seconds actually is by the way- he exuberantly replied "YOU'RE WELCOME!"...
I asked Camden what he was going to do today. He looked at me stoically and said "I have a lot of decisions to make". I handed him his passport and - come to think if it - I haven't really seen him around today...
Kellan is obsessed with playing "I spy with my little eye..." in the car. Yesterday, he said "I spy with my little eye, something...silver!". We guessed and guessed and couldn't get it right. Finally Kellan gave in (which doesn't take much in this game) and yelled "It's the engine!!!". I didn't realize he could actually see the engine from the car seat in the back...
Camden is such an artist. I told him he takes after Grammy. Then I mused, "Kellan draws like me". Camden replied "of course he does"...
Camden used his fork and knife to cut up a whole plate of pancakes at breakfast. Looks like I'm done being his butler...
Kellan was perplexed with the pickle on his plate. I kept trying to tell him it's just a pickle. He frowned, I mean, kept frowning, and then yelled "IT'S NOT A PICKLE IT'S A LEMON SNICKLE!"
I can't believe Camden is starting kindergarten in a few days. I was talking about this with Grammy and she told me "when Kellan starts school, it will be really hard". Camden interjected "when Kellan starts school, that's a whole 'nother story"... Hand to God, this is verbatim...
At about 5am, Camden got up to go to the bathroom and then came in my bed to lay with me. A few moments later, I had a cow in my bed as well. The bed is plenty big, but not the way a monkey uses up the bed. Camden was snoring away, and Kellan and I were tossing and turning and trying to get comfortable. Kellan got up, I assumed to go to the bathroom, and when a few minutes had passed, I went to see what he was up to. He was fast asleep in his own bed. He had had it with us...
Camden was standing on my bed (knowing he's not supposed to) and watching his iPad. I reached over and pulled down his shorts. He looked at me and said "Really girl? In the middle of the watching?"...
I asked Kellan to come over to me because he had something by his eye. He ran over excitedly and asked "is it a golden fish?!?!" I would love to be inside that kid's head...
The boys were playing on the McDonald's playground. There were a few other kids playing as well. Every single time one of the kids would talk, Kellan would yell "are you talking to my brother?!" Finally the kids just played silently...
While trying to get Camden a belt for school that would hold up his enormous (on him) shorts, we did briefly consider a nice leather dog collar that fit his waist perfectly. No need to call CPS, I said we briefly considered...
Grammy took us to lunch at Chili's and when we were driving her back to work, Kellan was freaking out because he wanted to go back to the 'mallf'. Once we dropped Grammy off, he cheered from the backseat "Go back to Chili's and grab that mallf!"...

August 14th, 2015
Had a fun day with Grammy and Granfy today! (At least WE thought so!).
Yesterday I told the boys I had a surprise for them. Kellan absolutely jumped for joy and asked "is it the dentist?!?!".
I realized that I mainly talk in the third person when talking to the boys. For example, uh gee, just off the top of my head "Mom said stop doing that!" "Mom said eat that!", etc.
I was talking like this to Kellan for about 10 minutes. "Mom said to pick up your toys!". "Mom said to pick them up now!". Finally, "KELLAN! Why aren't you listening to Mom?!" He looked at me lazily and said "Oh. I thought you were talking about a different Mom"...
We were all at the playground at the 'mallf' as Kellan calls it. The boys were having a blast. Dimples in full effect. Kellan came running up to me excitedly and explained that I was Team Oomi Zoomi, and whenever he yelled for help, I had to come save him. I agreed, but mind you, I'm 37 and have the short term memory span of a goldfish. A few minutes later Kellan yelled "Help! Help!" from across the playground. I looked at him and he wasn't in a dangerous situation, he wasn't at the top of a slide or anything, and this is coming from someone so high anxiety, I would have leaped across the room if a feather was floating dangerously near one of my son's heads. So I said "Kellan, you can do this. You don't need help." He was so (darn) persistent in yelling for help, that I finally ran (sauntered) over there. He looked at me with his earnest blue eyes and reminded me the one job I had of being Oomi Zoomi was to help when someone called for help... sigh...
Kellan asked Camden and I where the sun goes at night time. We both explained where it went, but he was really asking the question so he could tell us the answer. Once we got through all the science 'crap', he said "you're both wrong! It goes to my iPad!"...
Conversation at Super Cuts this afternoon;
Hair Dresser: Kellan, have you had a hair cut before?
Kellan: No
Hair Dresser: Yes you have! I've cut your hair!
Kellan: No I don't like pizza but I like Mac 'n' Cheese
Mom: Slowly blacking away to read a People magazine from 1972
The boys absolutely love going to the pet shop to look at puppies. In every cage that had poop Kellan laughed and yelled as loudly as he could - "POOP!". After we left the store, I realized that Camden and I were there to look at puppies, and Kellan must have been along for the ride to loo for poop. Seems about right...
Camden loves taking my phone and texting Grammy and Granfy. We were in the car and I kept asking him if Grammy had texted him back. I wanted to make sure she wasn't on the phone and being bothered from the constant texts. (See? I can be thoughtful at times!). Camden finally exclaimed excitedly. "I can see the three dots! That means Grammy's writing me back!". How does he know that when I just figured that out yesterday? OK OK, I finally knew what the three dots meant when my 5 1/2 year old told me. I swear I have a college degree, but I can't be blamed. We were still using abacuses at that point...
In the car with Grammy and Kellan, someone burped really loudly. I said it was Grammy and Grammy said it was me. Kellan asked each of us if we had done it. Then he asked "did I do it?!"... (It was Grammy by the way bwa a a) My blog - my rules :)

Exact words out of Camden's mouth. "Mom, I'm getting old like you so I keep forgetting stuff"...
One of Camden's friends at swim told him he was 5 1/2. This kid is huge. Camden came over to me to question this again - and is still learning that people can be bigger even if they're younger or the same age. I told him that people come in all shapes and sizes. He asked if he could be a triangle...
Kellan was begging to watch his iPad. I was trying to do flash cards with him. Finally he asked "can I watch something that kind of looks like an iPad?"...
When doing said flash cards, Kellan got an answer wrong. I said "no, look closer and you'll get it". He basically put his eyeball on the card...
There's an answer card on the back of each flash card. (Which is good, because the boys are already getting in to learning materials I don't know the answer to). Kellan calls the answers section 'rectums'. I am just going to leave this one alone...
I asked Camden if I could comb his hair. His reply? "Mom, it's a bad idea to comb your hair before swim lessons"...
Kellan was all comfy cozy on the couch. I kept asking him to get in the bathroom and get ready for bed. Camden asked "Mom, is Kellan begging you?". I said in a flustered tone "No! I'm begging him!". Camden thought about this for a second and replied "So, he's unbegging you?"...

So the boys still call Cheez-itz "Jesus". Camden laughed and said "Ha! we can't eat the Body of Christ!" We'll let the Catholic school he's going to take care of that one...
The boys keep asking to watch videos of volcano's on the computer. I said "Ok, guys. One more video can then we're going to think of something else to do". I said this a few times, and Camden scratched his head and said "think Camden, think!'.
The boys were doing magic tricks for me. Instead of saying 'abracadaba', they were saying 'abracadaba-ca, please'! I guess that is the magic word...

The first word out of Kellan's mouth this morning was diarrhea. It's going to be a great day.
I couldn't get Camden to get ready for school today because he was too busy playing with a math puzzle. I couldn't get Kellan ready for school because he was sleeping in like a teenager.
After swim, I put on Kellan's clothes and pulled his pants way up high over his shirt. (Urkel style like I wear my pants). He looked so scared, and said "Mom, if I wear my pants like this, someone might call the police!".
Kellan's favorite form of communication is shrugging.
At swim last night, Kellan was having an entire conversation with me during class. Keep in mind I'm behind a glass window and can't hear a word he says. The teachers were all cracking up, and trying to use a charades form of communicating so I could understand what he was saying. This is why he never moves up to the next level in swim ;)
Camden and Kellan were in the same lane at swimming, but on different sides of the pool. Camden looked up and waved at me, and Kellan happened to see him and waved too. I laughed because Camden was waving at me, not Kellan. Or wait... was he waving at Kellan and I thought it was me. I'm so embarrassed/happy?
Camden asked me what a butler is. I said someone that does everything for you. Drives you around, cleans up after you, etc. I thought a minute and then said, "I'm basically your butler, Camden"...
The boys think it's funny to say "potty" type words. Not bad words, but words that indicate things that happen in the bathroom. While I was getting Kellan in the car, he said "buttcrack". I gave him a mom look, and he looked at me earnestly and said "I meant to say Mom, but buttcrack came out instead!".
The boys want a puppy so badly. I told them to start thinking of names if we get a dog. Camden said "Jayden", Kellan said "CVS" as we happened to be passing a CVS store...

I told Camden the story of when he pooped on the plane when we were on our way to Minnesota. He was about 6 months old at the time. I told him everyone on the plane said "Whoa! That boys stinks!" Camden replied "that's a baby's job"...
Kellan said he was playing with volcanoes when he was in Mommy's tummy. That explains a lot of the pregnancy sickness...
I took Kellan to the doctor today. Camden brought a ton of cars in to play with while he waited. The doctor came in and said to Camden "Wow! How many cars do you have?". I think she was just making small talk, but about 12 seconds later, Camden piped up "21!". Of course my OCD brown eyed boy had to do an exact head count...
The boys are so excited about the seeds they planted in the back yard. Every morning we go water them. The boys came in and announced they watered the seeds, but not the yellow grass. Ok, ok guys. I'll call the landscaper. Sheesh!
I knew Kellan had orange juice in the fridge but he was looking and looking and couldn't find it. Finally he belly laughed and said "here it is! It was by the cookies!". (Chocolate chips).
The boys love playing with water outside. I was watching them and Camden took the watering can and started pouring it into a bucket that was full of water. He proudly announced "I'm watering the water!".
The boys love arts and crafts. They were at the table and Kellan came dangerously close to putting the glue in his mouth. I calmly and lovingly explained to him that we don't do this. He thought for a minute and said "if you eat glue, you might get allergies"... ok...
I've been taking Kellan's temperature because he's had a slight fever for a few days. While I was holding the thermometer, he looked at me with his blue as blue eyes and asked "do I have a Bieber?". Either he's a Justin Bieber fan, or that's how we're now to pronounce 'fever'.
Camden asked if someone would come to the bathroom with him. Kellan and I looked at each other as if to say 'it's your turn'. Then in a sing songy voice, Camden grinned and said "C'mon Mom. I know you caaaa-aaan!".
I made the mistake of letting Kellan have orange juice in the living room. Even though it was in a spill proof cup. I must have been forgetting this was Kellan I was dealing with. Once he spilled, inevitably, I asked him why he spilled. He replied "I didn't spill! The Hamburglar did!"
Camden was complaining about the lunch I made him. I said "Camden, you are very lucky to have this food. There are many many kids in the world that don't have anything to eat". He replied "can they have the lunch you made me?".
Camden's playing the "Don't Break the Ice game". Kellan's playing with a fake plant. Sounds about right...
The boys are still using 'you can't eat my cake' to get each other riled up. But now it's 'you can't eat my cheesecake'. I think they're Golden Girls' fans. YES!

At Mass, Camden is now old enough to pay attention. He still insists on playing with cars or drawing though. We told Camden to look at the altar to see what was going on. He dramatically cupped his hands around his eyes for "binoculars" to watch the priest...
At said Mass, I told Camden to sing along. With this request he proceeded to turn his hands into a megaphone and sang as loud as he could. Off key of course...
Kellan and I were playing Candy Land. He wasn't playing quite correctly, (as so to win). I asked him if he was playing fairly. He thought a minute, perused the game instructions and said he indeed was playing the game correctly...
I asked Kellan how he got so cute. He looked at me, rolled his eyes, and looking very annoyed at me said "I don't know".
Kellan said he knew he was hungry because his heart was grumbling...
The boys' got fortune cookies with dinner (although we had pizza), and just could not grasp the concept. Camden kept asking what the fortune said (before he opened the cookie). I said every one is different. He said "that's what it says? Every one is different? That's not much of a surprise".
Kellan asked if there was a book inside his.
A lady at Walmart was walking out while we were walking in. She stopped us and said she just bought donuts, and would never be able to eat all of them, so she asked the boys if they wanted one. Kellan's face said it all. Then she said "God bless you!" and Camden made the sign of the cross...
I bought Camden a binder for Spanish class when he starts kindergarten, but it was the wrong size. I let the boys play with it when they're making art. Camden looked at me and said "I'm going to save this for my son when he goes to kindergarten".
I was half-heartedly listening to Kellan talking in the car. (I'll admit this). When he was done, he paused expecting me to say something. Having been caught, I said "well that's funny!" He replied "it's not funny because I didn't say a funny word". While thinking 'crap' to myself, I said, "I meant that was cute". He replied again "it's not cute because I did not say a cute word". And on went the radio.
We (or I should say Grammy) bought a plastic pool for the boys. I was supposed to pull around the store and pick it up. I totally forgot and started heading towards Grammy's house. I kept looking in the rear view mirror to see where Grammy and the boys were. (They were riding separately in her car). I was getting a tad 'ahem' annoyed that I couldn't see them following me on the road. Then Grammy called and reminded me that I forgot to pick up the pool. I sheepishly did a U-turn and went back to the store. I peeked in Grammy's car to see the boys, and Camden said "you'd forget your head if it wasn't attached"... I mean, I know it's true, but c'mon.
Kellan is obsessed with volcano's right now. I told him maybe some day we'd go to Hawaii and see a real one. He freaked out and said he didn't want to touch the real thing.
The boys call their bottoms boootoms...
