My cell phone rang today and there was a tiny monkey on the other end;
Me: Hello?
Monkey: Mommy? Can I go to Chili's with Grammy?
Me: Why do you want to go to dinner with Grammy?
Monkey: Because I love you so so much
Camden was home yesterday afternoon. Dad was drifting in and out of a nap on the couch. He awoke to Camden touching his nose. As Camden touched Dad's nose quickly, Camden shot a little duck. Then he touched Daddy's nose for a longer time and shot a longer duck.
Camden asked me for ice water with 3 ice cubes. (OCD or Nick much?) I gave him the ice water without really thinking and he threw a fit. "THERE'S 4 ICE CUBES IN THIS GLASS! I WANTED 3!" I just can't...

Camden graduated preschool today! Well, kind of. He's going to go to preschool another year to try to catch up on size. No need to catch up academically, the teacher says he's probably gifted! Beam!
Kellan was crying in the middle of the night so I went to check on him. He was crying for water. I bent down to ask him to say please, and he laid a big wet sloppy kiss on my face. That was please enough for me!
Camden just thought his swimsuit shirt was awesome. He thought it was so cool there was a dog with a pirate hat on it. I couldn't bring myself to tell him the shirt said "Capt. Adorable"...

Camden went to the doctor today. He has an ear infection. He weighs 27. 5 lbs and is 37 1/2 inches tall. Needless to say Dr. Schaffer wants us to make another appointment with the geneticist.
Kellan has been doing so good in Room 7. We keep bribing him, but he told me he didn't want to go to Room 7 because he misses Miss Haley. Aw! Maybe we should have asked him what was wrong instead of jumping right to the bribe.
The boys look so forward to Friday's after school because it's lollipop day! The boys ran to the front desk only to see they were out of lollipops! They looked at the empty bowl, each other, and back at the empty bowl. Then two pairs of sad eyes turned toward Daddy. Well, the boys saved the day by going next door to Walgreens and buying lollipops for the whole school! They were the talk of the town (for something positive this time...)
Nick turned to me and said "Do you sometimes feel that talking to Kellan is like talking to a drunk person?" I said of course not. He's my son and he's perfect. ahahaahah Even I can't keep a straight face with that one!
We told the boys they had to clean the toy room in order to play a game they wanted to play. Camden was so good and cleaned everything right up. Kellan dilly dallied and basically did nothing. Then he was so upset when Camden got to play the game and he didn't. He went and dumped out the whole tub of cars and started to pick them up so he could play the game.
Camden's really whiny so I just gave him some Motrin. I told him he'd feel better when it kicked in. He freaked out! WHY IS THE MEDICINE GOING TO KICK ME! Bad choice of words, Mom, bad choice of words.

Kellan was walking around the house singing "The Farmer in the Hell". We didn't correct him.
I asked the boys where I went to college. They replied "French Fries". Yeah, pretty much sums it up...
I told the boys I was going to a conference in Minnesota and they asked if I could bring Nana back.
We were trying to get Kellan to take a nap the other day. He kept coming out of his room and we would put him right back in there. He was up but staying in his room. The air conditioner clicked on and slammed his door shut. I think he thought it was one of us because he laid right down and took a nap. Sometimes we use fear tactics for compliance from our children...
Kellan was asking so many questions one day, I just said "that's how God made it". He asked one more question and then said "never mind, that's just how that guy made it".
Kellan had his car carrying case that looks like a briefcase. He started walking towards the door, waved and said "Bye! I'm Granfy and I'm going to church".
Kellan was in trouble the other day (go figure!). I went to tell him he could come out of his room and he yelled "YOU'RE A BAD BOY, MOMMY!". Guess who stayed in his room a little longer?
Camden was walking through the house singing at the top of his lungs "YELWOW spells LELLOW!". Whatever you say Cam Jam.
Camden loves the days he goes to the "curdy road" school. He is just so anxious to get to go into Grammy's room. I make him sit with me while I'm getting ready for work. Finally, he said "Mom? When are you going to work? I love you though". That kid!
In Walgreen's, Kellan pointed to everything he saw, including NyQuil, and said "I want that for Christmas!". I told him he would have to ask Santa. Then I asked him, "Kellan? Do you think Santa would say you were naughty or nice this year?". He thought a minute then replied "Happy!". I think that about sums it up.
I'm trying to think of what to get Mrs. Duggan for a teacher's gift from Camden this year. Then it hit me, we'll probably get all of Camden's teachers a little something nice. From Kellan, we'll need to get really good gifts to make up for the year. :)

Camden just wrote "MOM" and handed it to me. This kid is a genius.
I asked Camden if he knew who Harry Potter is? He looked and me and said no, who is she? I guess that answers my question.
Nick and I were cracking up the other day. We remember vividly what Camden's first sentence ever spoken was "Bad piggy ate my pumpkin!"
I was trying desperately to get the boys to take a nap. I kept going in there to ask them (nicely of course) to be quiet. I did have a couple moments of silence. Then the bedroom door opened up and I heard "Hi Mom, it's Camden James. I have to go potty." How can you get mad at that? Oh very easily...

Camden stayed home "sick" with Granfy yesterday. Granfy bought him a wooden log set. Camden pointed at the box and said "Log" then pointed to himself and said "Jam!" Log Jam!
I was getting Camden in his jammies last night and noticed that his shoes were on the wrong feet. I asked him why - he sighed and said it was a rough day...
Kellan was playing with his laptop and pointing out letters. This kid is a lot smarter than we give him credit for. I'm feeling he's flying under the radar so we don't make him apply himself. We pointed to G for Granfy. Then he wanted to ask how to spell the other Granfy's name. I said that's "G" too! He threw a fit wanting the real letter for the other Granfy!
