I went to check on the boys in the middle of the night, and they were sound asleep little animals. Torrey was in there and got up and shook herself and her collar rattled loudly. Both boys immediately sat straight up, eyes still closed and hugged each other. I stood still to see if they were awake, but they both laid back down and went right back to sleep. I wish I could have had that on video. I'm so glad they have and love each other!
Camden 'won' a fish at the state fair. It was so cute because he had 5 chances to get a ping pong ball into a small cup. He was trying so hard and is so competitive (wonder where he gets that). He did miss all 5, but the fair worker grabbed the last ball and made it look very convincing that it did go in. He was as happy as could be. This was Saturday and he's still talking about the fact that he won with his last ping pong ball! So, we decided to name the fish Norman, but Camden insisted the fish is a girl. He asked me what the girl spelling of Norman is. I tried to tell him Norma maybe, but he insisted on Norman. So now, everyone that meets Norman, Camden tells them it's Norman but the girl way of spelling it...
100% Kellan just started singing Ice Ice Baby. I have no idea where he got that...
We went to pick up Camden from a birthday party, and I knew Kellan would be a little jealous. I stopped at the store and let him pick out candy. He picked out M&M's. When he got in the car and was settled, he asked me if he could 'enjoy' his M&M's. I didn't realize he needed permission to enjoy eating candy...
When picking the boys up from school and asking how their day was, Kellan proudly told me that his job in Kindergarten was to keep his dear teacher happy. I think that should apply to dear old Mom as well. I love Ms. Neal!
Speaking of Ms. Neal, she just adores Kellan, but won't let him get away with anything which is perfect. He left school after the pumpkin patch field trip, dropped his pumpkin, and it rolled entirely across the entire classroom. Ms. Neal looked up, and shook her head, and said "that's our Kellan!"...
The boys are still loving to pretend they're puppies. But each time we play, they have to have new names. I call out names and they growl if they don't like the name. This time they came up with their own names (wish I would have thought of that years ago). Camden was Badger and Kellan was Jack Dreamer. Is he watching telanovella's?
I got the boys McDonald's, and they got different toys in their Happy Meals. Of course, one toy was better than the other and they fought over it. Instead of jumping in, I told them to work it out on their own. While one boy had the toy, the other would count to 60. (So see! I know I got them McDonald's, but they were working on math too!). Finally, Kellan said, "No Camden, you don't have to count anymore. You can enjoy the toy and I'll enjoy the weather." We were in the car and it was 7pm...
