So Kellan has hand mouth and foot disease. He has to stay home from school all week. How do parents working full time do it? I'm very happy to keep Kellan home from school while his immune system builds back up, but it's so stressful worrying about work! I don't want anyone else to watch him either. When they're sick, they're mine.
Poor guy just looks terrible. The doctor said the rash isn't painful. I sure hope he feels better for his Baptism on Saturday.
Nick combed Camden's hair this morning. It was a combover exactly like Nick's. When I took him to school every teacher commented on how professional he looked. I said he was giving a presentation later in the day, so he wanted his hair to look business like. The "Wow all the Ladies Keep Checking me Out" shirt probably didn't help his professional credibility.
Dad's working late tonight and Mom has a ton of work to get done. I, ashamedly, played a little trick on Camden to get him to think it was bedtime sooner. We took a bath, read a book, brushed our teeth and got our chocolate milk sippy cup ready about 40 minutes earlier than usual. After stressing out about the work emails coming through on my phone while I was on the couch holding Camden I finally told him it was time for Night Night. Camden halfheartedly whined all the way to the fridge to put his sippy cup away. He slammed the refrigerator door shut and slumped down the hall to his bedroom. He said night night to Kellan, but not "Picky Mouse" who was on TV at the time. Then he turned for me to pick him up and put him in his crib, laid his head down, whimpered one more time and fell fast asleep. This was less than 3 minutes ago and I can hear him snoring all the way from the kitchen table.
Kellan is fast asleep in his swing. He's not going to be too happy when I wake him up to give him his antibiotic dose for the night...
Just wait until Grammy teaches Camden to tell time.
