September 6th, 2016

Just got done with lunch duty at school today. I don't know how teachers do this all day. I'm exhausted!

We had just woken up this morning and this was Kellan and my conversation;
Kellan: Mom? We used to be babies and now we're 5 and 6.
Me: I know! You're growing up so fast!
Kellan:  And when I'm 18, I'll be an adult
Me: You're right, Kellan! You're so smart!
Kellan: And when I'm 16 I can have my own phone!
Me: (Crawl back into bed and try to start the day over...)

I asked Kellan if he knew who Michelle Obama was. He immediately, and matter of factly responded, "my dentist"...

We were at Mass, and the priest happened to mention the Pope. Kellan looked at me and asked if the priest was the "Hoke". I told him no. He asked if the "Hoke" was in Heaven. I replied, "no, he's here on Earth". Then Kellan sat up and  quickly looked all around the Church and asked if the "Hoke" was there...

While packing, I labeled one of the boxes "misc". Not because I don't know how to spell the full word, but because that's what all the kids are saying nowadays. The boys happened to open the box when I wasn't looking, and found all sorts of fun things to play with. I kept asking where they were getting this stuff. They both replied, "from the music box!". After following those scamps, I realized they thought 'misc' spelled 'music'. They still ask where the music box is...

Camden weighed in at 36lbs at his Dr. appointment!

We were watching a kids show, and the character said to, "stay in school". Kellan immediately began cracking up and said, "It's nighttime! We're not in school!"...

The boys were sound asleep. All of the sudden I heard Camden talking. I bent down to hear what he was saying in his sleep. It went like this;
(Laughter, followed by belly laughter) "Is Kellan in trouble? (pause) Oh cool!" (More laughter)

The boys and I in the car;
Me: I smell rain
Camden: I smell grass
Kellan: I smell a milkshake

I am so happy that Camden is a huge football fan. We were talking about how we wanted this one team to win because they're the underdogs. Camden processed this then asked, why do we want to cheer for the 'behind puppies' again?

Kellan woke up and told me that he had a bad dream, but he prayed to God to take it away, and God did! Then he grinned and said, "He's a good Guy!"
