May 17th, 2017

Camden came up to me last night and said, out of the blue, "Thank you so much for always putting a note in my school snack, Mom". This was the sweetest thing ever. I have no idea what prompted him to say it, but it sure was nice.

The whole way to school this morning the boys were laughing so hard I had to look back there to make sure they were still breathing. Camden started it by asking me how he pronounced certain words when he was younger. I said the words in a cute silly baby voice and the next thing I knew I had two hysterically laughing and snorting little Tilley boys in the back seat...

At Mass on Sunday, Grammy went to check to see if the boys and I could bring up the gifts. Kellan looked at me so so excited and said, "Oh Boy! We get to bring up the treats!"

I made the mistake of reminding Camden on Mother's Day that he's the one that made me a mother. The mistake was telling him in general and also telling him in front of Kellan. Camden was so darn proud of this accomplishment. Kellan wasn't necessarily upset, but definitely didn't want to be outdone. Finally, after much thought, he exclaimed, "Camden may have made you a mother, but I made you a double mother!" Yes you did Cow! I love my boys so much!

Kellan is just soaking up knowledge about the planets and states and capitals. I am thrilled! He ran full speed into the bathroom as I was getting ready and shouted, "Mom! Mom! (tries to catch breath) Mom! Neptune has 6 rings and I'm 6! We're alike"! I said, "Oh, yes Kellan! How cool is that?"  Kellan then went from ecstatic to terrified within a millisecond and corrected, "Well, Neptune's a lot larger so we're not too much alike..." Ok...

Kellan came running in full speed (this sounds familiar) to tell on Camden. I stopped him and said, "Kellan, let's not tattle, ok?" He scowled and drawled in his little Southern accent, "I'm not tattling, I'm just tellin' ya"...

Kellan ran off to play during Camden's football game. Grammy went to check on him and asked him what he was doing. He was standing next to a tree. He told Grammy, "I'm catching leaves and I'm on the 7th level!"...

Camden was the captain of his flag football game. He got to go out there for the coin toss. I am so proud!

A sentence I never thought would come out of my mouth - "Put that stick down if you touched poop with it!"...

Kellan swallowed his gum accidentally and was terrified. I said as long as it was an accident and he's really careful not to do it again, it's ok. He replied with wide cow eyes, "That was my first time and I won't do it again indeed"! Apparently, swallowing gum makes him sound like an English school boy...
