February 22nd, 2018

Last month in my 30's EEK!

So we have a hilarious cat, Oscar. It brings me so much joy at how hard the boys and I belly laugh when Oscar 'talks'. They totally get his personality and it gives them the chance to say words like 'hate' and 'dummy' - as long as it's in Oscar's voice and Oscar's 'saying' it.

The boys want to build Oscar a school so he can learn while they're at school. In the car on the way to school they were trying to think of a name for his school. Oscar came up with Annunciation 'cat' lic school. Ahahahahahahahahaha!

The boys talking for Oscar has made me realize I may be a little overprotective of them. Kellan was going number one and Oscar peeked his head into the toilet bowl. Kellan laughed and said Oscar was checking to make sure his pee was clear and he was hydrated. I may be a little overboard as I think Oscar got that from me...

I promise this whole segment won't be about Oscar, but gosh do I love this cat!

Kellan was running around the house with Oscar's carrier on his head. He was going full speed and twisting and turning. He grabbed his glass of milk off the counter and spilled - of course. Before my face could even turn into mad Mom face, Kellan lifted the carrier off his head so I could see his baby blue eyes and with a grin said, "Wow! I did not see that coming!". Really Cow? You didn't see any of that coming?...

Oh my gosh I don't think the boys have ANY teeth left! They are losing them left and right! My cute little Cow is missing both of his bottom front teeth right now. When the 2nd tooth came out he sounded like he was lisping a bit. I laughed and asked Kellan if it was hard to talk with no teeth. He looked at me matter of factly and said, "No Mom. Those two aren't any of my talking teeths". Alrighty then...

Camden's allergies have been really bothering him lately, and he was so stuffed up and miserable this week before school, I wasn't sure if it was allergies or if he was getting sick. I grabbed my precious brown eyed boys rubber cheeks and said it was ok to stay home from school today if he felt bad and needed to rest. That little overachiever looked at me through his unrealistically long eyelashes and said, "That's ok, Mom. I'll try school. I want to get a perfect attendance like Uncle Nathan and Uncle Neil!"...

Uncle Neil Aunt Vanessa and I took the boys bowling the other day. So much fun! Guess who was even more competitive than I was? Mr. Cam Jams of course. And he did really well!
Watching Kellan for a while, I couldn't figure out why he would roll the ball and then run back to the table as fast as his little white stick legs could carry him. I was laughing at this, but still puzzled. Then got even more puzzled when he would run back, not even look at how many pins he had knocked down, and get frustrated. Finally, when he had knocked down quite a few pins but was mad I asked him what was going on. Turns out he could care less about his bowling score. He was more concerned with the "bowling commercials'. I could not for the life of me figure out what he meant. Then he showed me. The screen above us would show a funny animated bowling ball and pins if someone got a gutter ball, spare, or good shot. That would be my Cow... More concerned with what's on screen than going on at the real life bowling alley... ;)

Ok, have to end on an Oscar-ism. So, don't ask me how we know this, but Oscar's favorite singer is Demi Lovato. He particularly is a huge fan of her song. "Sorry. Not Sorry". The boys and I are making this a huge long hypothetical story and cracking ourselves up. Camden thought a minute, and decided that Oscar is a little confused, and thinks Demi Lovato's name is actually 'Dummy Avocado"...
