August 27th, 2014

I picked the boys up from school yesterday and Camden was sitting in the corner. I looked at the teacher alarmed and asked if he was in "time out?" She said "No! Of course not!" His stomach was bothering him so he just sat aside for a while." I said "Oh good! He's the son I don't worry about getting into trouble." I pointed at a devilishly grinning cow and said "now this one on the other hand...). The teacher looked at me incredulously and questioned "Kellan?! He's an absolute angel! When other kids are misbehaving he even tries to help the teachers out!" I grabbed the boys and all that was left of us was our shadows that were too slow to catch up...

I went to Kellan's school room to pick him up. I looked around and didn't see his big head. I saw the teacher sitting on the floor and Kellan was dramatically laying on her lap. I looked quizzically at the teacher and she gave me a "he's being dramatic look" back.

We're almost moved into the new house. We asked the boys what they thought of it. Here are the responses;
Camden: "I love it!"
Kellan: "It looks like candy!"

So much for making me feel like super mom... or even decent Mom. Camden came home with a raw runny nose yesterday and said "Mom, I had a runny nose all day. Will you take care of me?" Like it was something I may have forgotten to do if he didn't remind me...

Our new house is a little smaller than what we've been used to, so all our voices echo - especially while we're still moving stuff in. Kellan was being so loud so I yelled (of course) for him to stop yelling. He yelled back "I'M NOT YELLING, I'M JUST LOUD!"

Now that Camden and Kellan are getting used to their new school, we asked them if they had girlfriends. Kellan immediately said "Kelsey!" and Camden replied "I have boyfriends"...
