March 7th, 2015

I packed gummy bears in the boys church backpacks. This is all Kellan could think about. I told him if I saw he was being good in church, I would give him the gummy bears. Before the first song even began, Kellan yelled in a whisper voice "Can I have my Teddy Bears Please? I'm trying really hard to be good!" Since I wasn't able to gauge his behavior as Church hadn't started yet, I just gave him the "Teddy Bears".

I was so proud of myself. I had the great idea to take the boys to McDonald's to knock out dinner and try to wear them out. They ate very well, and I settled in to the booth to be mother of the year, while my kids had fun and it didn't take me any effort. After about 2.3  minutes, Camden came up to me with a really serious look on his face. I asked him what was wrong. He looked at me with his ridiculously long eyelashes, and said "I shot a duck and pooped my pants". Usually I can't get the boys out of the playground. This time they both beat me to the car to get the heck out of there.

The boys and I were at RedBox trying to pick out a movie. I had just bought them green St. Patrick's Day hats and they were wearing them. There was a man at the other movie rental box and he said to Camden "Hey dude! You look cool!" Camden looked at him and said "thanks, I think"... At that moment I was trying to figure out how to still own Camden without claiming him.

I was cleaning up around the house and the boys were watching their new movie. I kept telling the boys I would be in there to watch the movie with them soon. As I was wiping down the counters, etc., I hear a little voice yell out from the living room - "Mom, why aren't you enjoying the movie?" What a little salesman. A few minutes later, Kellan yelled, "Mom? Why aren't you joining the movie?"

We were reading "Marley and the Kittens" before bed. Camden literally tooted the entire time. We used the book to fan away the smell more than we did to actually read it.

We had Camden's swim class at 6:30 on Tuesday. I told the boys we were taking a very quick bath when we got home because it was close to bed time. Both boys played while the other one was being washed and looked at me carefully as if I would ever yell at those angels! When we were done I told Camden to pull the drain to empty the bathtub. He hesitated and I gave him the "mom look". He innocently looked at me and said "just give me a second". He's lucky he's cute.

I forgot the comb the boys hair before school, because I was off probably doing something really motherly. When I picked them up, Camden excitedly told me "Mom! It's a good thing you didn't comb our hair today! It was crazy hair day and we fit right in!"
