Happy Easter!
We are so blessed and thank God every day!

Last night Kellan wanted a snack so badly. He was trying every trick in the book to get one. We are trying to stick by the rule if they don't finish their dinner, they can't have a snack later. A snack was the only thing on Kellan's mind. I tried to get him to focus on something else. I asked if he was excited to see if the Easter Bunny comes tomorrow! He looked at me pathetically and said "will you ask the Easter Bunny to bring me a sandwich?"

One the way home from school one day, traffic was bad and I had to stop quickly a few times. We later pulled up to a red light and Kellan yelled - "Hey Mom! Nice job stopping at that red light!" Sigh...

Camden has been so gassy lately! I mean way more than usual. He tooted and promptly said "Excuse me, I shot a duck!" Then he looked perplexed. I asked him what was going on? He replied "I really didn't think my toot would stink so badly. I just ate a cherry..."

Camden got this really cool Alphabet puzzle game. He's really good at putting the letters together with the picture, Kellan wanted to help him and Camden was actually fine with that (It's an Easter miracle!) Camden did start ordering Kellan around, I mean you can't ask for everything in life. He was telling Kellan what letters he needed. He asked Kellan for an "O". Kellan looked and looked and he told Camden "All I can find is this zero!"

At Kellan's birthday party, we were waiting for Great Aunt Pammy to get here. Kellan was especially excited because he knew she was bringing the cake and that's all he could talk about. The doorbell rang and Kellan's face lit up with excitement. He froze though. We looked at him and encouraged him to go open the door! After saying this 3 or 4 times, Camden finally ran to the front door. Not to be outdone, Kellan ran and opened the refrigerator. In Kellan's defence, we did just say to open the door. We did not specify which one...

Camden and Kellan were talking about some twins that go to their school. Camden asked me if he and Kellan look alike. I told them they look a lot alike because they are brothers. But they also have differences because they have different features and personalities. Camden thought for a minute (when is he not thinking) and replied "I know Mom! We're different because Kellan has to take medicine right now and I have cavities"... You literally can not write this stuff...

I just asked Camden who he was going to marry when he grew up. He looked at me with a shy grin and said "you Mom" My heart burst with love! Then he thought and said, oh wait! You'll be dead when I'm older. Sigh...

I was sound asleep then realized I could hear one of the boys breathing really really ridiculously loudly. I realized I should get up and check on whichever kid this was. My body refused to get up. My brain was going to the worst place possible, but this Supermodel body of mine needed it's beauty sleep. Finally I was able to wake the model part of me and went into the boys room. Camden was on the top bunk sleeping normally (a shout out to the docs that removed his tonsils). I bent down to check on Kellan and he was no where to be found. I kicked the s$#t out of the Supermodel part of me and raced out to find Kellan. Then, I think some of the 40 grand that was spent at Michigan State (not by me by any means, those Gall people) getting me a degree finally kicked in. I checked my bed, and sure enough, a cow had snuck in in the middle of the night and made himself comfy cozy...

If you are even a distant acquaintance of mine, I'm sure you know that I kind of enjoy my birthday. Camden's been trained well. All day on March 23rd (like how I threw that in?) he went around winking at me and saying "Hey Girl! Happy Birthday!"

I always lay out the clothes for the boys in the morning before school. Never once (maybe once in a rare occasion) have the boys complained about the clothes I've chosen for them to wear. On this particular morn, Camden took one look at his shirt and said "I have to wear a shirt with a pocket? Ugh! So not fair!" I just stared at him wondering if he was a 13 year old girl, or my 5 year old son...

Here's a little snippet on Camden's Kindergarten assessment;
Teacher said Camden’s a genius.
She asked one kid to count as high as she could and she got to 15.
Camden told her he could count to 100. When he got to 42 she stopped him and said she believed him.
Teacher: What kinds of animals sting?

Camden: Stingray oh and bees.

Teacher: What kinds of animals swim?

(I think 99.9% of people would go with fish)

Camden: Sea turtles

Poor Nana always has to sit in the back seat between the boys' car seats whenever we all go anywhere together. The other day I put the boys in the car and told them to get in their seats while I put the groceries in the trunk. When I went to buckle them up, I asked Kellan why he hadn't got into his seat yet? He replied (all grins and dimples) I'm Nana! It took me a minute and then I realized he was sitting in the back between the car seats...
