Yay December! I love Christmas!
Camden said he was going to make a silly face during class picture day. I got so excited and said, "Yes! Do it!" Camden looked shocked and said, "but Mom! I'll get a red light for that!" Darn kid that follows the rules...
In the car we were talking about the boys' dimples. We were laughing that Kellan has two, Camden has one and Mom has none. Camden was being goofy and said, "What does a dimple look like?" Kellan without pausing, immediately said, "It looks like bacon. I mean salami". What?....
I would love to be in Kellan's head. We were talking and rhyming on the way to school. Candy became a subject and Kellan suddenly turned pouty and became angry. I asked him what was wrong and he replied, "I wish you would have named me Jolly Rancher!"...
Camden loves looking at our calendar and knowing the events coming up. He insists on keeping up with the school calendar as well. He was very proud to let me know they had community prayer this week. On the way home from school I asked how community prayer was. Camden said good. Kellan said, "huh"? Camden got so mad. "We had community prayer today, Kellan!". Kellan thought and responded, "Oh. Our class didn't go to that". Camden almost lost it and yelled, "Kellan! You were sitting right in front of me!" Kellan looked completely baffled and said, "Today? Are you sure it was me?". I quickly changed the subject before Camden imploded...
Camden came running in my room cracking up. It took him about 18 minutes to compose himself enough to blurt out, "Kellan thinks our school is called Annunciation Traffic School!"...
Kellan announced at the dinner table, "I sure do sneeze and tootie frootie a lot!" That's my boy!
Kellan strutted by me and announced, "Hey Mom. I'm going to go play tic tac toe with my brother by myself"...
The boys were in the backseat and all of the sudden things went quiet. Of course I turned around to see what was going on. Camden gave me the cutest most innocent monkey grin, and said, "What Mom? My brother and I were just having a conversation!"...
We saw some birds on the way to school and Camden said, "Oh look! Ravens! Why hello, Baltimore Ravens!" I love my football kid.
I was trying to explain the democratic and republican parties to the boys. I thought they were finally understanding a little when Kellan asked, "Can I go to the party? What kind of cake will they have?"...
