Camden has been in absolute rare form lately. I looked at him and said, "I'm going to tell Dad no iPads this weekend!". He batted his loooong eyelashes at me and said, "But I'm a yes yes man!"...
Kellan came flying into the bathroom this morning while I was getting ready, and said, "I jumped up and down the stairs, Mom, but don't worry - I protected my ding-a-ling". I don't even know...
I told Kellan it was free dress day today at school if he brought in a dollar to donate to our Veteran's. He looked at me terrified and said, "I have to wear a dress?!"...
I asked Camden and Kellan to get in the shower last night. A task they've been completing (including baths) oh for about 5 and 7 years now. Kellan put his little hands in front of his mouth and asked me, frightfully, if the "shower was wet"...
Out of the blue (how most things come up during our ride to school), Camden announced, "I'm going to tell my kids to poop their pants". Kellan piped up and said, "I'm going to clean their diapers". Then a pause before I could commend Kellan - he added "Actually, my girl will clean their diapers". Oh I can not wait to show his future wife this...
Our school principal, Dr. Pristash, is amazing. She knows each kid by name and they all run to hug her when they get to school. On Friday, Dr. Pristash picked Kellan up, gave him a huge hug, and said, "you're the reason I come to school every day". Kellan replied, "Well, you weren't here yesterday!". Dr. Pristash was out on Jury Duty. This kid doesn't listen to a word I say when I ask him to do something, but he's observant enough to know when the principal is there or not...
Kellan just asked me if I would marry him. My heart filled with the most happiness I've felt in a long time. Then he said, "Well, we'll have to wait until I'm an adult though". Then it got a little awkward...
I told Kellan I would give anything to see the world through his eyes. He used his hands and opened his eyes as wide as can be. Then he said, "Here ya go, Mom!"...
Aunt Pammy, Camden, Kellan and I went to Texas Road House. Kellan looked kind of serious, so I asked what he was doing. He replied, "Oh, I'm just sitting here cracking my nuts". I could not stop laughing and get it under control. I forgot that he was just thrilled that he was allowed to throw the peanut shells on the ground. (Although most landed in his hair and I have no idea why. Oh wait! Yes I do! Because it's my little cow!...
