Guess what tomorrow is?! My... I mean Kellan's birthday month! Yay!
The boys were talking about bee dee bee dee's and that I'm a girl because I don't have one. Kellan innocently asked, what do you have then? I thought quickly on my feet, and decided the right thing to do would be to tell him the actual word. I said, I have a vagina. Kellan just thought this was so confusing. He said, "I don't have a vagina because I'm not from China"! Oh now you can rhyme Cow. Well played...
I don't even want to know, but I looked in the rear view mirror and saw Kellan sticking a straw wrapper in his ear. I quickly yelled, "Kellan! Don't stick things in your ears!" He replied, "you started it". Huh?
Kellan has just been so sweet, loving and extra thoughtful lately. The boys know to make their beds and brush their teeth every morning without me having to ask. Kellan came full speed and full dimples rushing in to the bathroom this morning as I was getting ready. He told me he had to tell me a secret, and proceeded to grab my cheeks to pull me to his mouth. He actually whispered, and said, "Mom! Don't tell Camden, but I made his bed too!" I was just so full of love for this kind thoughtful kid, and to be honest, a little taken a back that he actually whispered this secret. A little later, I asked the boys if they had brushed their teeth. Kellan said "yes", and Camden said "no", as he quickly ran to brush. Kellan looked at me knowingly and said, "well I can't do that part for him"!
Camden is so into football. Oh thank God because this is so much fun! I do have to turn so he doesn't see me laugh every time he pronounces Adrian Peterson - "Aderson Peterson"...
And now that Kellan's getting in to football I also have to turn around when he talks about "ANTTTTonio Brown"...
Camden and Kellan were with Grammy while I was working. I got a text that said, "Could the child get one small toy". As I was pondering this message, another text came in - "What did she say?" Little Kellan making it hard to say no to new toys...
Kellan was pretend sleeping and snoring. Camden did not know what to make of this. He said, "I think he's dreaming about a pig!"
I was checking to make sure Camden was buckled as we headed out to school and work. For some reason Camden was all monkey ears grinning at me. I finally asked him what he was doing. He replied, "lose the ponytail, girl". Needless to say a 7 year old made me very self conscious about my hair all day...
On Saturday, I felt like I had 253 kids. The boys were everywhere and pushing Mom's buttons. I threw my hands up and said, "I give up, boys!" Camden looked at me with a very mischievous yet adorable grin and said, "every time you turn around, there's something new!"... Little stinkers!
