November 1st, 2015

The boys were working on a thank you card and asked me how to spell giraffe. I thought and then frantically yelled, "Work on this project on your own, ok!" That's appropriate, right?

Camden asked me to play football with him. I said "one sec". He yelled, "Hurry! The game's about to start! The referee has the ball in his car!"...

In the car, Camden kept shooting ducks. I mean major ducks. Like take this kid to a gastroenterologist ducks. Kellan thought and said, "Why am I not shooting ducks. Weird"...

We were at the park. I looked over and Kellan was on the ground. I asked, "did you trip?". He looked around and said, "I think so"...

Camden was writing a story for his homework. He came up with a funny plot and asked Granfy to guess what it was. Granfy kept guessing Bible Stories. I told Granfy to think outside the box. Camden told Granfy to "think inside a store"...

Kellan, if you know him at all, is a tad obsessed with Monster Trucks. I really want to take him to a Monster Truck show. Kellan knowingly said, but we'll need to wear ear plugs. Then I could see the wheels spinning in that cute big head and he wondered aloud, "but where will we plug them in?!"

I was tucking the boys in, and said "Goodnight". Camden replied, "Goodnight. See you at the party". I smiled a motherly smile, closed the door and got sad that there was another party I wasn't invited to...

In the morning, when a cow licked haired cow woke up, I asked him what he dreamt about. He replied, "I had plants with laser beams dreams". I wouldn't have it any other way.

On our ride to school, Camden loves playing tic-tac-toe with me. Or as this cool kid calls it, 'tic-tag'. The only problem, as you can see, is that I'm driving and Camden wants to play a game that's main strategy requires looking at a game board. I tried to compromise and asked Camden to tell me where he played. But that's part of his winning tools and he thinks it's fun not to tell me. So, needless to say, I put my competitive side aside and just try my best. Why didn't they tell you this was part of motherhood too?
