August 2nd, 2015

At Mass, Camden is now old enough to pay attention. He still insists on playing with cars or drawing though. We told Camden to look at the altar to see what was going on. He dramatically cupped his hands around his eyes for "binoculars" to watch the priest...

At said Mass, I told Camden to sing along. With this request he proceeded to turn his hands into a megaphone and sang as loud as he could. Off key of course...

Kellan and I were playing Candy Land. He wasn't playing quite correctly, (as so to win). I asked him if he was playing fairly. He thought a minute, perused the game instructions and said he indeed was playing the game correctly...

I asked Kellan how he got so cute. He looked at me, rolled his eyes, and looking very annoyed at me said "I don't know".

Kellan said he knew he was hungry because his heart was grumbling...

The boys' got fortune cookies with dinner (although we had pizza), and just could not grasp the concept. Camden kept asking what the fortune said (before he opened the cookie). I said every one is different. He said "that's what it says? Every one is different? That's not much of a surprise".
Kellan asked if there was a book inside his.

A lady at Walmart was walking out while we were walking in. She stopped us and said she just bought donuts, and would never be able to eat all of them, so she asked the boys if they wanted one. Kellan's face said it all. Then she said "God bless you!" and Camden made the sign of the cross...

I bought Camden a binder for Spanish class when he starts kindergarten, but it was the wrong size. I let the boys play with it when they're making art. Camden looked at me and said "I'm going to save this for my son when he goes to kindergarten".

I was half-heartedly listening to Kellan talking in the car. (I'll admit this). When he was done, he paused expecting me to say something. Having been caught, I said "well that's funny!" He replied "it's not funny because I didn't say a funny word". While thinking 'crap' to myself, I said, "I meant that was cute". He replied again "it's not cute because I did not say a cute word". And on went the radio.

We (or I should say Grammy) bought a plastic pool for the boys. I was supposed to pull around the store and pick it up. I totally forgot and started heading towards Grammy's house. I kept looking in the rear view mirror to see where Grammy and the boys were. (They were riding separately in her car). I was getting a tad 'ahem' annoyed that I couldn't see them following me on the road. Then Grammy called and reminded me that I forgot to pick up the pool. I sheepishly did a U-turn and went back to the store. I peeked in Grammy's car to see the boys, and Camden said "you'd forget your head if it wasn't attached"... I mean, I know it's true, but c'mon.

Kellan is obsessed with volcano's right now. I told him maybe some day we'd go to Hawaii and see a real one. He freaked out and said he didn't want to touch the real thing.

The boys call their bottoms boootoms...
