August 3rd, 2015

I told Camden the story of when he pooped on the plane when we were on our way to Minnesota. He was about 6 months old at the time. I told him everyone on the plane said "Whoa! That boys stinks!" Camden replied "that's a baby's job"...

Kellan said he was playing with volcanoes when he was in Mommy's tummy. That explains a lot of the pregnancy sickness...

I took Kellan to the doctor today. Camden brought a ton of cars in to play with while he waited. The doctor came in and said to Camden "Wow! How many cars do you have?". I think she was just making small talk, but about 12 seconds later, Camden piped up "21!". Of course my OCD brown eyed boy had to do an exact head count...

The boys are so excited about the seeds they planted in the back yard. Every morning we go water them. The boys came in and announced they watered the seeds, but not the yellow grass. Ok, ok guys. I'll call the landscaper. Sheesh!

I knew Kellan had orange juice in the fridge but he was looking and looking and couldn't find it. Finally he belly laughed and said "here it is! It was by the cookies!". (Chocolate chips).

The boys love playing with water outside. I was watching them and Camden took the watering can and started pouring it into a bucket that was full of water. He proudly announced "I'm watering the water!".

The boys love arts and crafts. They were at the table and Kellan came dangerously close to putting the glue in his mouth. I calmly and lovingly explained to him that we don't do this. He thought for a minute and said "if you eat glue, you might get allergies"... ok...

I've been taking Kellan's temperature because he's had a slight fever for a few days. While I was holding the thermometer, he looked at me with his blue as blue eyes and asked "do I have a Bieber?". Either he's a Justin Bieber fan, or that's how we're now to pronounce 'fever'.

Camden asked if someone would come to the bathroom with him. Kellan and I looked at each other as if to say 'it's your turn'. Then in a sing songy voice, Camden grinned and said "C'mon Mom. I know you caaaa-aaan!".

I made the mistake of letting Kellan have orange juice in the living room. Even though it was in a spill proof cup. I must have been forgetting this was Kellan I was dealing with. Once he spilled, inevitably, I asked him why he spilled. He replied "I didn't spill! The Hamburglar did!"

Camden was complaining about the lunch I made him. I said "Camden, you are very lucky to have this food. There are many many kids in the world that don't have anything to eat". He replied "can they have the lunch you made me?".

Camden's playing the "Don't Break the Ice game". Kellan's playing with a fake plant. Sounds about right...

The boys are still using 'you can't eat my cake' to get each other riled up. But now it's 'you can't eat my cheesecake'. I think they're Golden Girls' fans. YES!
